Tay, your weed looks like Japanese Knotweed. The roots will go down as far as 15 feet if not further. We used to inject neat glyphosate into the stems as well as pour it down the cut stems. As you probably know it's extremely invasive so you are best to burn or bag the prunings. This plant will grow through asphalt and is very determined and hard to eradicate. Wash off/down any equiment used in cutting it back as the cuttings etc are like potato peelings and the smallest piece will take root. We also used to add some diesel or washing up liquid to the chemical to break down the wax on the leaves and stems. I hope that this is useful. Oh, great video as usual, thanks.
@badgerpa911 ай бұрын
That weed by your milkhouse you should burn or bag the plant up and take it to the dump, it will grow from the cut off material. People use softener rock salt and that sometimes helps. If you have a piece of metal a thick sheet to dig down and bury might help, it will grow up through blacktop. Neighbor I worked for had that and I finally used a syringe and shot about a CC of gasoline in each stock at the base, about a hundred stalks later it did die off after about a week. 1066 sounds good, miss that ting ting of the exhaust cap. You do a great job filming and editing, thank you for all the time you put into the videos. I hope you got a good 30 bales from that field looked like a nice field to get for cutting, easy access by the road. Hope you all stay safe and healthy.

You are pretty devoted to life on that farm. It would be nice if your boss gave you the chance to take over that farm when he decides to retire. But that leaves you alone there and there isn’t a lot of young people today that will give up there life of leisure to work on a farm. I did it for over 40 years starting when I was in grade school , my friends farm, My father didn’t like my attraction to it so I sneak up there when he wasn’t there which I got me punished a lot but didn’t stop me. Finally he gave in and let me work part time when I was still in school. My last job which I worked over 20 years was with a farmer from Maine there fathers name was Pete Dakin , they moved to Florida when they were kids and I think there family still owns the farm property today. But doesn’t run a farm there

a product called tordon is a good product for saplings and new tree growth its rtu ready to use
Good morning Tay, It’s nice to pick up extra hay and glad you are able to get some more haying done, we are not that lucky here yet. Another great video. 😊
You sure are in a very scenic part of the USA.

Hi Taylor thanks for sharing another awesome video again, sounds like the new calf is a bit fiesty but when you were filming her butter wouldn't melt. I think you have a bit of a soft spot for the old 1066, great job with the mowing. Hope you get the break in the weather you need, thanks again take care and stay safe 👍 😊.

As usual the filming was great, but the "mowercam" shot was just terrific. I totally had a flashback when you guys were filling up the running tractor and the vibration was causing the diesel to jump out of the filler neck and land on the cowl. Even the silver paint, over silver paint, over rust on the bulk fuel tank, perfect. Your delivery and content are just so authentic. Keep up the good work.

Great video Taylor
Hi Taylor. The field looks like it will turn out to be a decent one the more its mowed. How Far a drive was it. It looked pretty. Thanks for the video. Have a beautiful weekend. Say hi to Brent.
I hope when you boss retirees you can keep working there as a lease
But doesn’t run a farm there
I got 2 see you driving the international the day you made this video. I’m just so impressed with your videos. Congrats on 11k subs.

Afternoon Taylor What blades are you looking for maybe I can get them for you ?
Please tell us what is the procedure taken when a cow dies,,
Hey Taylor, I made a delivery yesterday at Pineland Farms Dairy in Bangor, is that where your milk goes?
On youre 1066 do the shift levers have to be in a certain position to start it or can you start it anyway its sitting?
That looks like Japanese knotweed. Evil invasive stuff. For a small area I’ve had decent luck putting down cardboard then covering it with plenty of mulch.
Hey Taylor, are you a Maine native? You don’t seem to have the accent Brent does. Did you ever get the round baler fixed?

Hi, yes I was born and raised in Maine. I just don’t really talk like one I guess 😅. Yes we finally got her all figured out( for now🙄) . I’ll let y’all know the problem in future video. Thanks for watching!!
Question? Wondering how the seeding you did in the manure spreader went? Was it worth it?

It actually worked really well! I definitely wouldn’t use it as a method of complete reseeding but as a filler it does a fantastic job!
