I like your logo and it reminds me of the old Tyne Tees logo when I was a kid except that had the Tyne Bridge and Transporter Bridge on it.Those seats are the old, new, GWR seats with the flimsy looking, although they don't seem to break, metal laptop extension.

Scotrail ticketing is bizarre but I've sat in Scotrail with a standard ticket and just paid the £3 upgrade. I've even been in first class and wasn't asked for anything. I travel locally, Dunfermline to Edinburgh usually a class 170 or class 158. The last time was last week and the guard told me the upgrades are going up to £10. She let me travel first for nothing on that occasion. In fact the fact that after 50 years those trains still look good and modern is a testament to British egineeeing.. I look forward to seeing you winter trip up the West Highland line
I like it

Ye gods! A no-alcohol policy on board ScotRail! That really took me by surprise Guess it shatters stereotypes!
Ahhhh the Beano. Loved it as a child……..until I graduated to Viz as an adult.

My uncle in Morpeth used to spend at least an hour every Christmas Day ensconced in the netty, reading The Beano annual, which either myself or one of my brothers would have been given as a pressie!
Nice video. Wow seems cheaper going from Edinburgh to Aberdeen than Thurso to Inverness

@@TheGeordieTravels That could be a trip on far north line planned for u. The far north line is so scenic and as u say on here hugs the coast line for some of it
Welcome to my neck of the woods.. how was the ride quality of the train? Not been on an "new" HST yet! I agree it is a gorgeous journey hugging the coastline!
When I travelled on one of these back in August the 1st class carriage was completely taped off, how that helped with social distancing I’ve no idea! I’ve found ScotRail by far the worst operator in Britain when it comes to the C-word excuse for lack of onboard service. Luckily LNER provide a much better alternative on this route, and you can enjoy a beer with the stunning scenery!

ScotRail had gone down a good bit since Abellio took it over.

@@TheGeordieTravels Soon drinks will be back, or hide the drink like an alcoholic and chase it with a coffee
Scotrail in my opinion are so under rated, another great report!

Just a little correction, it's Prince's street gardens not princess. Just for future reference. Great video! Really enjoyed watching!

@@TheGeordieTravels haha, yeah autocorrect is annoying at the best of times! 👍🏻
I travel a lot on that route using advance tickets with railcard and upgraded with the £3 on a number of occasions. The train manager never said that there was ever a restriction

u think they reopen the leamside line
We travelled Glasgow to Aberdeen this week on the HST and found the seats rather uncomfortable and squashed in. The turbo star for the return journey was far more comfortable . Shame as I love the HST!
Its Princes Street gardens, not Princess.
