Intense 6 Seal Rescue at Cape Cross Namibia
Naude and Denzil from Ocean Conservation Namibia decided to do a patrol at Cape Cross for the day, and were overwhelmed by the amount of entangled animals they found. They managed to pull off 17 successful entanglements in one morning.
In this video, they do one continuous run lasting over 10 minutes and manage to rescue 6 Cape Fur Seals in a row. The rescues are all pretty intense, and it is clear why the guys are totally exhausted by the end of it. 🦭

These seals are starting to get the hang of it to give Naude and Denzil a run for their money by sprinting to the sea. It's absolutely amazing to see the domino effect of seals fleeing into the ocean; how it starts with a handful and then it's just an absolutely MASSIVE wave of seals dashing off towards the water. And it's also amazing to watch the guys pick their way through the hundreds of seals to get to that one (or half dozen) that they spotted in the crowd.
Y'know everyday in the papers we see vacuous so called celebrities full of their own self importance wanting hero worship.. Then here we see the real hero's, who expect nothing in return for rescuing these insanely cute seals, aka flippery, shouty, cross, bitey sea sheep, you guys are the real stars, real men, real heroes.
