The objective evidence is that Damian McFarren is a paid shill (and if NintendoLife keeps him on, they're in on it). Remember this is the guy that wrote multiple infomercials masquerading as news articles about the Polymega. The ultimate insult was when he published a piece about the Polymega being shown (past tense in the article) at GDC and it went up BEFORE GDC had even opened. I attended that GDC and asked around all day at booths where the Polymega was supposed to be shown and with developers they were "partnering" (a word Tommy also likes to abuse), and they were a total no-show. Their "partners" were like "yeah, we heard they were going to be here but we haven't heard a word from them and we'd really like to see if this thing is real". The NintendoLife article was total lies about how the Polymega was shown to press and developers at GDC (again, this was published BEFORE the conference even opened). It later turned out that Polymega wasn't at the conference. Forget about a booth, they apparently couldn't even afford to pay for a day pass. Instead they were in a hotel room somewhere in the Bay Area and invited some hand-picked "influencers" to see something in a shell. It was likely a generic SFF pc- because that's all a Polymega is, a PC in a custom shell running free, off-the-shelf emulators. Even though anybody could have made what they had made (given over a year and half a million in crowdfunding), they were still afraid to let a technically savvy audience (like those that attend GDC) get a close look at it. I guess they saw what happened to the Atari VCS.

I couldn’t believe how beyond awful that Nintendo Life puff piece was. It might be the lengthiest article ever on that site… a Nintendo-dedicated site… bending over for a non-Nintendo product. It read like a poorly-disguised paid promotion. Shame on NL.

This is a lesson on how to check your ego at the door and hire a PR person. I could give a shit about intellivision (no offense), but whenever I hear of it now, I’ll think of Tommy and this chapter. I mean that kinda hurts the brand, no?

Nothing brings Pat and Ian together like a good old fashioned Tommy Tallarico takedown. This has been going on for so long it's like a cherished tradition now.

I chatted with Tommy on Facebook and it was a good chat for a while until I asked him if the Amico was still coming out in October, needless to say he ended the chat and never responded to me at all…. So by him not responding to my question basically told me that his answer is “No”… lol

I typed what I thought on the Facebook page and surprise surprise who fired back at me? Tommy, the man himself.

His attacks on kevtris are really fuckin' disgusting too. Tommy Tallarico should have been banned from Atari age a long time ago.

100%. He always hides behind "I'm just passionate" or words to that effect. He's a walking drama magnet; he clearly likes it.

The "parts shortage" didn't stop Evercade, PS5, Xbox Series X, NewWave Dragon's Lair, Xbox Series S from shipping in 2020. The parts shortage didn't prevent the Atari VCS, New Wave Asteroids, etc from shipping in 2021. It also looks like the "parts shortage" isn't keeping the PlayDate, Evercade VS, New Wave Q*bert, and the Switch OLED from shipping before the year is over. Also, how can the "parts shortage" affect software? Why has there been no visible progress on software in a year? Compare this to PlayDate who did suffer a delay from 2020 to 2021 BUT it gave them additional time to make MORE software (so you are guaranteed 24 games instead of 12 included with the purchase). Instead the number Amico launch titles keeps dropping. He initially promised over 60 at launch and last I read (Tommy keeps moving to goal posts, so it may have changed again) it was down to 20 launch titles.

@WarPumpkin Yeah, I feel if he's having trouble finding parts using 2015 era SOC's in 2021 is probably a huge part of it. I can't imagine those are still currently being produced new out of a factory. That leaves sourcing whatever finite supply currently exist or paying someone to make them for you special.

Tommy keeps saying it's not crowdfunded. So if it's not, then Tommy LIED in his SEC filing papers because those say the Amico is CROWDFUNDED. If Tommy's answer is "well that's just the government's definition of crowdfunding", then my response is "then it's the legal definition of 'crowdfunding' and that's the only one that counts". Tommy keeps making his own definitions to words, so he can later claim he didn't lie. Words like "exclusive", "partnership", "publisher", "physical games", "Global Director", "temp contractor", "consultant", "industry standard", "close friends", "game designer", "original ip", "copyright", "hack", "leaked", "force feedback", etc.

Is Tommy responsible for his cult members going after everyone who dares to criticize his plastic box? How many KZreadrs have been threatened, harassed, alt account abuse, etc. over their take on the Amico? As I said before, did some people buy a friendship with Tommy or the actual product? Neither Tommy who received $11 million in investment nor an upcoming console is ABOVE criticism. The "wait until it comes out" DOES NOT APPLY to the Amico, just like it didn't apply to Xbox, Playstation, Switch, Atari VCS, etc. Tommy is lucky Pat and Ian do not go after him for slander/libel.

With Tommy's continuing antics, the Amico will be the Quibi of consoles.

That was an old discussion I had with a friend, We should be courteous, civil and polite from the get go, with each other... you can decide then if a person deserve that treatment if they are not to you. But respect is a value you earn. P.E. A nurse who works 10+ hours with covid patients has my absolute respect and on the other side a twitch Thot who is seating on her ass and showing doesn't reserve respect from me at BUT, that doesn't implies I should be un polite, rude asshole to her. Same with the nurse even if she treats me bad (because she is tired, bad mood etc) she still has my respect and is on my decision to keep giving them her civil or polite treatment... to deal with her bad mood... probably I do.

Tommy tries to railroad everything with his false narrative, but it's flying off the tracks and towards a major wreckage.

If Tommy really believed in his product, he should forgo any payment until it is released.

At this point, this is turning into more of a circus than the Atari VCS, which is really saying something considering all of the BS that surrounded that. It had nothing but problems during its development, with numerous delays, key personnel leaving, dodgy interviews, misinformation, hardware changes and more. I think this is beginning to get to the level where it's eclipsing that, which is a pretty good achievement, I must admit.

It's not hard to admit that this console will end up being a huge laughing stock if it ever releases this year. Tommy has become the Butch Hartman of the Game Industry.

It's kinda amusing to a point but also sad. This is a grown man, the CEO of a company no less, acting this way. Lots of companies/products get criticism from people and just keep going. I cant recall of any time where he instructed anyone to attack Pat or Ian. The crazies are just in the same league as the 'haters', both sides dont typically look at the details/criticisms themselves, but rather import the opinion of others to formulate their own. While I did preorder, I wouldn't defend the product as if I was an employee, nor would I blindly believe Tommy is somehow plotting to screw anyone over like a Batman villain. All in all, this is entertainment; just, how serious do they want to let it affect them? (The haters or fanboys alike)

It doesn't matter if you haven't seen Tommy personally instruct these people to engage in these activities, the people named HAVE done all these things yet are still to this day part of Tommy's inner circle and invited to his events and posing for group photos. This is the big set up for Tommy to cancel the Amico and blame it on Pat and Ian. He will say that his personal safety and the safety of his family and friends is more important than the console so he has to step down and cancel everything and will put the blame on you guys.

I hope the day the Amico actually launches, Nintendo reopens sales for the NES and SNES classic consoles. Even if its just a few weeks.

@@PatTheNESpunk ok after re-watching 1st episode again I didn't see him and assumed that was the reason for reuploads. (Even asked in the live stream to no answer) And calling a long time fan a liar instead of correcting in a polite fashion is uncalled for and lost you a nearly decade long fan.

I'm no Tommy shill. Dude's seemed to go off the deep end. But if you like certain game soundtracks or watched early G4 (especially Electric Playground), you probably know of him. Doesn't mean he deserves respect.
