Instant Pot Best Ever Meatballs
Written recipe here!: pressureluckcooking.com/insta...
So you want one of the most outrageous, flavorful and tender meatballs around that are CRAZY EASY to make, eh? LOOK NO FURTHER. I am KNOWN for these babies and always make them at any gathering (always by popular demand). And now, I've taken it up a notch by doing it in the Instant Pot! Meatballs serve so much more purpose than just being paired with its lover, spaghetti. They also taste amazing on their own with some Marninara sauce (or gravy), or as I love them most, as a MEATBALL HERO PARMIGIANA! You’re going to be singing “O Sole Mio” after you eat these and so will your family & friends!

Yep
Made this in an 8qt. Instant Pot, and enjoying it right now. Some notes: the website recipe says 2cups water, and 3 cups for an 8qt pot. This *might* be a bit too much, but it doesn't ruin the flavor, just makes the sauce a bit thin. Additionally, we substituted ground chicken for the pork, and we had "traditional" Prego brand sauce on hand, so we used that instead of the recommended. Still came out fantastic and with the addition of pasta, salad, and fresh baked garlic bread, it's certainly a meal for 4 to 6 people.
This is a fantastic recipe. I make them using ground white turkey, cream instead of milk, and I add chopped onions. The meatballs are award-winning and in addition, it is an amazing recipe for turkey burgers.
I should know this recipe by heart already !! Jeff are the best meatballs ever- no bread for me .
My mother taught me years ago to never, ever use sauce from a jar. For 40 years i made homemade marinara sauce. I would spend half the day simmering and perfecting and many told me it was one of the best. And then i tried Victoria marinara. I don't make my marinara very much anymore. It might not be as good but it really is great and do convenient. Great video by the way. Cheers!
I just made these today in my instant pot and I have to say these are the best meatballs that I have had,way better than the ones my wife makes and I thought they were good :-)) thank you
Victoria White Linen Marinara Sauce IS the best marinara short of a dear old Italian grandmother making it. Since I'm an Irish/German mix, nearly 50 (few short months) this is not happening anytime soon. That said I always pick-up Victoria's on every visit to Costo. I love this stuff whenever I cook Italian. I've made this recipe several times, and want to extend thanks to Pressure Luck for taking the time to share.
Yuuuuum! Thank you for always giving the best recipes that make myself and my family 's stomachs sooooo happy. You know how to cook with love. Nothing I've tried you have done has not been too notch. Much love!
Thank you! I made these meatballs last night during our first big snowstorm here in Virginia! Such a hit. I will be trying your beef stroganoff recipe next.
I used this recipe to make the first gluten-free meatballs my husband ever really liked (he can't eat gluten for a medical reason). I used Ian's GF breadcrumbs, which you can find at Whole Foods/Amazon, and they turned out just great! I was a little worried about them but they were moist and tender but didn't completely fall apart in the Instant Pot. Thank you, Jeff!
I’m just loving how much fun you were having 🎉❤
I just your found channel yesterday & I'm really enjoying your simple pressure cooker recipes. You are very funny as well.
Yum, yum, yum! I made these for dinner tonight. My family loved them!!! Thanks Jeff! You're the best!!!

Hi Jeffrey from Canada - this meatball recipe was the best I have ever made - my son loved it and he said keep one mom - even my brother who is very difficult love it. Thank you Jeffrey for your video and wonderful cookbooks
Jeff you're so funny and I love your recepies. I made these meatballs for lunch today and they were delicious! Thank you.😋
I've made probably twelve recipes thus far and this is the undisputed heavyweight champion item thus far followed shortly (maybe I go back and forth) with the unbaked ziti. Both are out of this world. Not coincidental both have the Victoria's White Linen marinara sauce.
Made this last night and the whole fam loved it! Thanks for sharing Jeff! Keep the recipes coming :-)

This is now my go to meatball recipe .. Have I said this before? The best .. I use water only because we never have milk in the house. And I add fress basil to sauce! No bread. But its great on pasta or just in a bowl!

This came out great! Thanks
I used your recipe on the web. Excellent results! Twice. Humble suggestion: can you use upper-case T on Tbsp and lower-case t on tsp? It would make it much less error-prone.
The beginning of the video gets me all blushy mushy! 🥰😂
I made these tonight, with two exceptions: 1 the meat I used was all turkey and 2 because I used turkey I let them cook for 15 mins instead of 10. My son loved them!

Do you have to add the water? It really thinned out the sauce.

Made them tonight. Bomb. ❤️
Hi Charlene I think I'm going to lightly fry them and give it a shot this weekend I don't think it will be an issue I'll let you know how it works out.
Hi Jeffrey, I just received my instant pot yesterday. Today I made potatoes just to test it out. I plan on making meatballs tomorrow. I am not a fan of marinara sauce. I will fine if I use my meat recipe and own sauce ? I may need to add the cup of water as my sauce will be thicker than marinara. I plan on making most of your recipes. Keep them coming. My husband and son will be very happy You rock the pot world.
You are awesome!!

Hi! I really enjoy your videos. When I tried to use the link you had for the written recipe for your meatballs, it took me to Instant Pot Refried Beans and other recipes, but not for meatballs. 😢
if i wanted to make the meatballs to freeze them, can i freeze them raw or do they need to be cooked first?
Yum
Can I triple the recipe, and lay meatballs on top of each other with extra sauce? Do I cook for same amount of time?
Yum yum in my tum tum
there is one thing i would change, I would sear the meatballs first then put in the sauce ^_^

What if you didn’t want to cook them in sauce for right now? Say I want to freeze them for spaghetti later...how would you cook them?
Hi Jeff your Instant Pot recipes are Great! Would it be possible to lightly brown the meatballs then pressure cook them for 10 minutes or would I need to reduce to cooking time from 10 minutes. BTW You need your Own TV!
@chargreene1

Richard Haynes I was thinking the same thing, I think you could easily brown them on Sauté in the pot and then add the sauce and finish cooking. Meat balls need to be cooked through so I don’t think they will be over done with 10 minutes in the pot and then quick release. I haven’t tried it yet though. In other words, we are looking for medium rare meat balls so the cooking time really doesn’t need to change is what I am thinking.

As Charlene Greene says...with an Electric Pressure Cooker, you can do it all in one pot...just put the raw meatballs on Saute setting for a few minutes of browning...and pour off the grease. Then follow the recipe.
Mix in some ricotta cheese with the hamburger meat mix and the meat balls come out with a nice and soft texture .
You need to hollow that roll out a little bit. And cut the big meatballs in half, it would be much easier to eat. ☺
I am not sure what I did wrong but I also had spaghetti in the pot and “burn” kept coming up. I had increased the pasta sauce and added another cup of water. Every time it came to pressure the button would drop and the pot would switch to warm. The pasta had burned at the bottom of the pot and even though I deglazed, it wouldn’t continue. Finished it on the stove. The recipe is delicious though.
I wish you would put on some recipes that are kosher. I can’t imagine there are not others who would like that too. Thanks!
Hey Jeff, the link to the written recipe is broken.
In Italy it's called Polpetta
Great tasting meatballs i get the Sauce (Victorias) at Shop/Rite good price on sale with the Large bottle

I can't find the sauce anywhere. Any other recommendations?
Can you substitute a different sauce, if you aren't planning on using them in spaghetti?
@Sharon-pb7so

Sure, but you might want to eliminate the parmesean cheese in the recipe if you want to put your meatballs in brown gravy or sweet and sour or my favorite, meatball stroganoff.

Tasty but unfortunately I used the printed recipe which states to use TWO cups of water, not one like this video. That was some runny sauce.

Rob D I was just looking through comments for the exact same thing. Video says 1 cup and printed says 2-3 cups depending on size of pot. I have an 8 qt and compromised with 2 cups. We’ll see!
Did i see you put 12 MB's and when finished there were only half or so shown.
Any suggestions on how to cook these meatballs in the instantpot without tomato sauce? I can’t have tomato (yes the struggle is real!).

The Victoria White Linen sauce is no longer at our Sams or Costco! Found on Amazon for $26.99 Nooooo! Big difference, might have to make my own. Was hoping to try your suggestion, seems everyone loves it. Why do they carry things, get you hooked, then sorry we don't carry that anymore. :( Boo Hiss!
Made these today. One issue: The water has to be MIXED with the sauce. You can't just add it. I made that mistake, got the burn error and now I am simmering them on the stove, becuase now it's quicker than letting the pot cool, washing everything, and starting it up again.
no written recipe just your homepage using link
There's really no reason to eat frozen meatballs again!
