WOW.... One of my old favorite games. Want to have it on Steam or something. I love to see that there are still people playing it (or knowing it). Spend so many hours in it. I also have mapped every single system. I know I know.....there are many of those maps on the internet. But those are almost always copies of each other. I have checked every inch of all the maps. And I have seen a few points where shipwrecks (and other things) might be at some coordinates. But a few are wrong. I've documented it on paper and with the exact location. It was a lot of work. But that's how addicted I was to this game. I wanted to know the first few places to get a bit more money at the beginning, so the start would be easier 😀 To bad I don't make content, otherwise I would have uploaded it ^^ I hope they make a remake of it. Keep everything exactly the same but with better graphics :P

That would be amazing, having a remake! You sound absolutely dedicated to freelancer, when I seen this game for this first time my 8/9 year old brain exploded and it’s stuck with me forever! More people need to experience it.

@@kingsalami217 Absolutely. And 21 years later I would still play it again. It's been a couple of years since I played it. But I don't have it on CDROM anymore. So if there is any chance to reinstall it and replay it, I would continue mapping my already mapped documents of everything. I know where all the ships are and more. But I want everything documented. And place it on my PC instead of on paper as I did 20 years ago🤪. Maybe I can start doing it already with some paint tool or something. I downloaded all the different maps and places ppl already made those days. And checked every corner of every system. Just because a few points were not right. And I fixed all these points. I'm already 47, but still want to play it again :) Love to see there are still ppl who know this game.

Thanks for the clear tutorial. I was able to get it up and going without issue. Do you happen to know where it stores the save files? - I'd like to import my old save.

I actually don’t 😕 it may be in compatdata because I can’t see it in the games installed folder

@kingsalami217 i can get to the website. When i click the download button, it takes me to a page to pick windows or repack. When i click repack it takes me back to the freelancer description page
