You’re an absolute legend!!! Easy to follow. First time Ive manually added a Proton compatibility layer. Used to getting them from ProtonUp QT. Game running and controlling perfectly.

Video was HUGELY helpful, was able to get the game running flawlessly on my Steam Deck earlier this week! :D However, this morning when I try fit in an hour or two of playing, my Deck will launch the EA app, but not the game. :( Anyone else having issues? I just played last night and it was fine...

For some reason after extracting and putting the DAI proton folder into the steam compatibilitytools folder I don't see the option to use them in my compatibility modes, not even after multiple steam resets and steam deck reboots. Any idea why? I know I downloaded the correct files and extracted them to the correct folder..

Thanks for the video! I played this game on his time and love it and with the DA4 announcement and the low price in Steam I wanted to play on my Deck This process is still working? I read a few minutes ago that some EA update broke this workaround but not sure Thanks in advance

Yes I also tried during the weekend and it is still working and DAI works great on SteamDeck, I forgot to update here.

Did all the steps but I can’t press start, so I can’t go into the settings to change the controls 🙃

Hello is it steamdeck LCD? does it lag? Since last time I checked probabaly 2 months ago it is still lagging.

No this video is on oled but my previous video is on lcd! Runs fine.

I used this for a week or so and it worked great. But when I docked my steam deck and used a Bluetooth controller it seems to have screwed something up and now the game doesn’t recognize the steam deck control inputs while playing handheld. Any ideas?

Figured it out right after commenting. In case anyone else has this problem, go to the quick settings tab on the right side menu and change the controller order so that the steam deck input is 1. Thanks again for a great video, really been enjoying DAI on the deck.

works the same way, but instead of using it directly on the game you force EA app to use this proton and open the game there.

i dont know if it got updated and doesn't work now but i get "An error occurred while launching this game: Compatibility tool failed"
