UPDATE - The Killer RC Killer BEE kill switch is here. It took me 45 seconds to install and this thing is a work of art. No issues at all, I can clearly see when I have spark and where the spark is cut. This proves the Dynamite one I had was faulty somehow. Many said the jumpers on the Dynamite one were incorrect. Well that's not it. The jumpers are only LOW Voltage cutoffs, they will not affect anything with a fully charged battery. Will do a full video showing the details soon.

Right after releasing this video I am on my way to the RC Track with my T-maxx 3.3 and Savage XL K5.9. It time to race and destroy some electrics! I guarantee when the Savage 3-speed kicks in the Rustlers will be nervous!! ahaha.

MY dude!! what's up RC MAX GANG!. Today my 3-speed Savage XL terrorized the RC track, when that third gear hit I think the electrics were shaking, ahahah. All I know Is the savage delivered today! Got the killer bee kill switch already, will do a mock fit of it tonight, see how It is. I still have not figured out the dynamite one's issue. So weird.

These past two week I’ve been thinking about how much fun I used to have with monster trucks and your last video was the final straw for me. I’m on my way to becoming a member of the T-maxx gang. Im excited

the Nitrogang is 100% happy to hear you say that bro! Thats exactly how I feel, the Nitro Trucks are just tons of fun at all times, it's not comparable to even running 8S. To me 3S and 8S is just a little different, in terms of SHOCK and AWE levels. But even the oldest and worst Nitro is tons of fun for me. Today I was ripping my 3-speed savage against electrics, and there were crowds looking at the savage, that made my day!.

hey dude!! thanks! right after releasing this video I was all pissed off with the killswitch, so I got the Killer BEE in the mail, put it on without about 45 seconds and it's perfect. It's a damn work of art, so I have for sure confirmed my Dynamite one was a POS. The killer BEE one also comes with a loud buzzer, to tell you about having spark or not. NUTS!!!

hey bro! thanks! I'm fully recovered now, I tested negative a while ago already, but the symptoms (mostly the cough) remains. Good thing is after testing negative its not contagious anymore, so I was free to destroy tons of electrics with my HPI savage XL today at the Rc track, ahaha.

Lol. The MGT clutchbell is larger than the ek4 one, and has twice the amount of shoes. Looks like associated was really thoughtful in their engineering for that thing, that is why I love their stuff. Hi NitroBoss I wanna update you about this bigblock nitro engines. The one you talking about mgt 8.0 was also made by Thunder Tiger, they called et sledgehammer s50. I have one myself and Mann it's fun to bashing with. I did back in the early 2000 buy a thunder tiger Ek4 sold it a couple of years ago but that truck was insane . Standing backflip easy but it only had one gear so it was not really fast. Cost me a lot of back diff. Enjoying every videos you post NitroBoss and look forward to see you face when you are enjoying the power on that 8.0 nitro monster f..ker you got on your shelve.. over and out

Anyway, you're 100% right about the thunder tiger engine in this MGT, in my original Video I discussed it thoroughly and even talked about the EK4's lager .70 Helicopter motor, you right!. I cut the engine talk short here because any would not eve understand it, you know.

hey bro!! Congrats on the Chimera, I will get one of those sooner or later myself, if I can get a good deal on one. These redcats drive really well to be honest, the chassis is a good 4WD platform with good brakes. The only downside is the low RPM motors they use. My redact rally topped out at 29 MPH, very slow compared to a Roman Baja which got 44 MPH stock. But any gas RC is still awesome, you know.

I have the horizon model using a flysky gt3c and it works fine on a rovan 290 buggy👍 I've used mine for a year and it works flawlessly, something is possibly not set right but I also haven't tried it on a redcat!!! Check the channel settings, reverse, end points etc. Keep on trying mate! Although it is a small possibility that it could be a defective unit but the chances are slim💯

I had that exact problem with the Dynamite kill switch myself. I currently don't have any protection on my big rigs.i just run a tank or two and recharge. I really need a good option for the kill switch, but didn't want to spend the money to be honest... So I'm watching to see how yours goes. Glad your test was negative.l!

Here is an update for you, I just put on the Killer Bee Kill switch, took me 45 seconds and it works flawlessly. That POS dynamite one pissed me off. The killer Bee one is a real work of art, even comes with a buzzer to tell you about the spark cut-off, nuts!! I'll do a update video on it soon, but thats the only way to go bro, if you get one. To be honest with you, unless your throttle servo locks up in full throttle position, a fail-safe is adequate, you don't need a kill switch. Ofocurse with my shit redcat servo, it got stuck in full throttle and it got wrecked.

Check your jumper setting, one of the settings disables the kill switch. Also when you unplug the harness then the engine should have spark as nothing is connected, It just like the red button waiting to be pushed.

whats ups my bro! Yes, I love the looks and functionality of that THOR pipe, unfortunately I will have to be vey creative to somehow fit that on this Rampage. Surprisingly this thing starts and runs well with just that staight pipe in the back, lol. But I will have to hack something up.

We had the same problem with my buddy's kill switch didn't work at all no matter what we did the killer bee is the best one always works! KBN!

hey bro!! Yes, I cannot figure this thing out, I've dealt with many gas rc kill switches, but I have never seen spark when the whole thing is disconnected, lol, you know!! Super weird, so far none of the comments here have offered any useful info on the issue.

@@hybrid32494 Well disconnected means the circuit is open which leaves the coil on at least I'm pretty sure it does in theory The we got the same one and literally and wouldn't work it said to press the button for the 3rd channel to stop the engine and it never did Or it would randomly just shut off about 30 seconds or so after I at the button

i need to know how you set up that specific transmitter and receiver asap

Ye dude, I've never seen an issue like the one I had in this video, I've worked on other kill switches and know how the Killer RC model works, and this Dynamite one is exactly the same design and wiring setup. Only issue is it does nothing lol. We know the kill button itself works, because you saw I pressed it and the rampage shut off, I'm still baffled. Hey what ever happened to your WPL C14 RTR?. Do you still have it if so how is it holding up?.

I remember reading on a forum that kill switches don't work with AVC systems in receivers. I don't know, maybe you got a faulty one, but yeah the chances are close to zero.

hey bro! YEs, that is true! I don't run nothing with Spectrum AVC, so that isn't the problem, you know. Anyway, only gets he Killer BEE kill switch, this is a POS, not worth it. Also on this model you need to re-use your own kill button, while the KIller BEE comes with th entire wiring setup and it's own new button.

whats up my fellow T-MAXX fan! The T-maxx Classic only came with the 2.5 motor. It sounds like you got the short chassis model used and chances are somebody put the 3.3 motor into it as an upgrade over the years. If you got it brand new with that installed, I would be surprised, let me know.

I saw in the video that you had both jumpers inserted.. this way if you read the instructions of the device the kill switch dynamiye is disabled! and that's why it didn't work!

Hi. Can I pigggyback the killswitch off of channel 2 on my receiver. The receiver has a 3rd channel but my transmitter is 2 channel. I can upgrade but if it is just for the killswitch, I would like to know if I can avoid it.

hey dude! In a different video I installed the killer bee kill switch using a 2CH radio setup and it worked fine. It basically kills spark once you turn the radio off and have the fail-safe working. It should work yes. You could do a test to check on this kill switch. I highly recommend you use the KIller RC Killer bee model instead btw.

hey buddy, the button is just a way to interrupt current flow to the plug. Your examination is correct, when the circuit is open the button is pressed and current is not flowing.

There's a chance there's nothing wrong with the Dynamite killswitch and that the problem is the push button. If you remove the push button and only have the Dynamite killswitch installed, would it work as intended? Is that push button a momentary contactor? Meaning there's no way of knowing if it's locked in or not? If that's the case it could be why the Dynamite isn't working because the coil is still connected thru the push button. Then the solution would be to change the push button to another style that locks in one position and the other.

hey man! I considered the push button being the problem also, but you saw it allowed the engine to run and when I pressed it the engine shut off. I also tried another push button off camera. The redcat kill switch I showed in the beginning came with it's own button. I tried all combinations, my final determination is the pushbuttons are just switches, they are interchangeable. IN fact the Dynamite system does not come with it's own, and you're supposed to re-use your original one. Anyway, I currently have the Killer BEE one right now, I will be testing that and reporting back to the whole youtube Nitrogang soon!. Wish me luck bro, I wont run a gas RC without one, anymore. Had a bad runaway once. Learned my lesson, you know.

hey man! That is a lipo directly from one of the WL TOYS a959 rcs. They fit perfectly. It's from the B model, not the A models with the larger motors. You need that JST plug that comes on it standard btw, which is why I used the WL TOYS A959 - A lipo.

hey buddy! I no longer recommend getting this model kill-switch, I have since switched to the KILLER RC Killer BEE models (they are about double the cost). Watch this updated video I made and you will see, save yourself the trouble and get the killer be, it will work with the AVC systems. kzread.info/dash/bejne/Zn6puaupYsTSYbg.html I'm quite sure this horizon model will not work with the spectrum systems.

hey bro! thanks so much!! Yes, I'm back to normal, I tested negative and I'm free to RC and destroy many electrics on the Rc track, ahaha. (I did a lot of that today btw). Anyway, the jumpers on the dynamite kill switch are only voltage cutoffs, I examined that entire thing pretty well, and the red LED seems to work correctly from the 3rd channel, as you saw. Yet there is still spark even when the cable is not plugged in. Something is up with that, I will try the killer Rc one tonight.

You're welcome, bro! it is more resistant than the others. The electronic components of others are exposed to dust and water. The Kill Switch is protected and therefore makes it more durable and reliable.

Yes it's bro! I see that if you take what you do very seriously hahahah! it's complicated .. this never ends. You explained something very interesting about the Kill Switches near the end of the video, that if you disconnect the kill switch, you can start the motor ... there are people who think that the motor will stop working the motor current. the kill switch is just a switch .. it only avoids a car accident, like when the engine is running or you want to turn it off when you finish running the car.

I dealt with this before. Long story short literally almost all of them don’t work. The ones that did work stopped working after just a few runs. Avoid no names, try to get a high end one like killer bee. For whatever reason no one can make a good kill switch for these things

hey my dude! Greeting to you from NYC! Sounds like you have a 1/5 gas RC, am I right? There are not reverse systems for 1/5 scale gas RCs at this point, other than for a Primal MT Monster truck (won't fit anything else). Forget about reverse with a Gas RC. In terms of speed I would get a higher RPM motor or install a different gear ratio for more top speed. Tell me which motor you have. In my experience the 2-speed systems for most GAS Rc's are not the best, and a waste of money.

I feel like you had the servo plug flipped the wrong way or something. But maybe not!

hey dude! I eventually installed a proper KILLER RC kill switch, and have had ZERO trouble since. The plug you're referring to can only be put in one way into the receiver, so there is no way that is the issue. The issue is getting a good kill switch in the first place, you know, lol! I highly recommend the killer RC Killer bee model.

Hey bro! You are not the first one to think that. the MGT is an 8cc motor the cen is a 7.6. Only the vintage thunder tiger EK4 has a larger motor which was a .70 size engine. Its was a hghly unreliable engine tho, very few have survived.

hey bro! You talking about the jumpers? the jumpers on the switch itself are just for voltage cutoff. they do not influence anything else. If anything those jumpers would disable spark although, my situation is that I have spark at all times, therefore the jumpers are not the problem.

hey man! The jumpers are only for setting the low voltage cutoff. I read it thoroughly. I have both jumpers installed, meaning it's at a 6V low-voltage cutoff setting. That is not the problem unfortunately. Anyway, I got the new killer RC kill switch now, so we will do further testing. I will not rest until the 2-speed shifts in this giant POS, lol.
