This video was excellent, the only mistake i made was not paying attention to "don't over tighten", otherwise i would've been done in 5 min like the video Great job, ill share this on my Amazon product review

THANK YOU so much! This was a great tutorial, and it took me probably 20 min to install (with a hand tool, rather than a power driver) - haven't programmed yet 'cause I need to go get batteries (that will probably take longer than the install!)

Thanks, watched and paused your video as I installed mine. Make it pretty simple. Took me a bit to remove/change the default code, but eventually got it, but thats on me.

1.Good instructions for installing the lock. 2. Programming the lock, please watch the video done by Kwikset. Danger: If you leave Master Code as default 0000 you are risking that anyone can open this lock. Again follow the instructions that came with the lock. First clear all the program codes and then change the master code. Write it down on the instructions paper and save at safe and secured location. Good luck. @Haven please update the programming part of the video. Thank you.

@Haven, how do we get the bolt to program the other way? We have the same side swinging door as your video and started with the bolt in and the knob to the right but when we 0000 Lock 0 Lock, it beeps 3 times.

So did you use the black door frame it comes with ? Or left the one you already had ?

When I tried to install mine. The volt don’t fit in the hole when we tried to lock it. But our old lock is the same size and fit as this lock.

@@jenerlan that happens sometimes. You may have to drill out or chisel out the bolt hole so that the bolt can throw/extended fully

That had my wife and me stuck too. That's when we had to turn to the instructions it came with.

I’m stupid I can’t program the lock

The one inside won’t FUCKING go on!! It’s annoying. None of the screws fit and it’s not going on completely Edit: They finally work! The good thing was bent the first time cuz it was too tight, so I took it out and put it back in

I hope you erased the factory code to open the lock. I’m a locksmith. And I’ve opened many of these locks at homes because no one erased the factory setting.

Worst lock ever . Returned it twice followed directions step by step and doesn't do as I read in Manuel or video . Also reset it a few times . I would not recommend this lock

It’s plastic junk don’t waste your money. And it doesn’t come with the 4 double A batteries you need

This lock is junk don’t waste money. Once battery runs out u are screwed, the 9 V battery option is junk never works… many reviews online pointing this out.
