This is the best explanation of aji fishing, and basic techniques, that I have found. Thank you for taking the time to share great advice. I'm new to aji fishing but am more confident now that I am on the right track.

If were to say doing aji fishing i would say 0.9lb to 3lb polyester mainline or 0.2pe to 0.5pe for braided line if u r targeting bigger fishes like sagais on boat.. As for the leader is commonly ard 1.5ft to 2ft florocarbon is more than enough. If higher poundage will be more of ultralite game than been called ajing fishing. Reel should be 1000-c2000 shallow spool cos most line maker do 150-200m line, and if normal deep spool wont be able to fill up the spool. Shallow spool have lower drag strength and easier to set proper drag for finesse fishing.

Thank you for clearing some confusion, 6 to 10lb is really to heavy for Ajing. Shallow spool is always the best option.

Great development in ajing fishing. Will you guys develop tenya rods? There is a lack of high quality tenya rods especially for the Singapore market. True tenya rods are spinning rods, usually above 2.3m in length for tenya fall control, able to handle 0.6-1pe line. And 20g-60g tenya usually. Preferably with a solid tip. That being said a separate, heavy model can be developed for Singapore market where the line rating is higher for heavier tenya and thicker lines. Thanks for the videos btw, very informative

Thank you for the kind words. We did prototyped a few Tenya rods with solid tips but we are not ready to produce them yet. Stay tuned!

Temple Reef sounds great! Would love for two ratings if possible. One more like japanese style rating (0.6-1pe,2500-c3000 reel), and one for singapore/south east asia market(pe1-2, 3000-4000 reel). Great tenya rods have a solid soft tip for bite detection and finesse on the fish picking the bait up, and yet good butt power for subduing larger fish. But not on too heavy drag because thinner line is usually used. Generally a good transition mid section is required between the tip and butt. Also it would be very nice if the rod was 1.5 or 2 pc. For compactness. 😁

Hi very nice video and well elaborated! May I just check with regards to the main line, do you use polyester, fluorocarbon or braids? And what would be it’s most suitable poundage as well as line diameter. Thank you!
