Basics of Ajing by Isofishinglifestyle

Спорт

An introductory video demonstrating the basics of Ajing, a finesse style of lure fishing specially designed for chasing Yellowtail better known as "Aji" in Japan. In Australia, we use this technique to target a wide range of species from bream, trevally, flathead, whiting, tailor, pike and many more.

Hi Madimiks, it's not necessary to use luminous baits. As we generally go ajing in areas with some type of light source, you can still catch yellowtail using ajing soft plastics that don't glow.

Why does everyone hold the yakka with a pair of pliers afterwards?

  • @vire559

Quick unhook and release compare to regular net, you should fish this to know it why they did that.

@@vire559 I've probably caught thousands of the things for livebait and never needed to hold one with a pair of pliers - just grab the hook and shake them off?

  • @vire559

@@MrGavo1978 Shaking them from the hook outside of the water will brake their mouth (not counting fish struggling outside of water). If it is for livebait they probably will do the same as what you did. Technically those are fish holder, not plier.

@@vire559 lol it doesn't break anything - they look perfect when you put the livebait hook through the cartilage of the nose... the fish holder/ pliers would do heaps more damage to their internals and slime coating (not that it matters if you're going to eat them) I personally reckon the pliers are just a way to hold them up for the camera lol (plus they have a sharp anal fin that can slice up your hands)
