The Freemasonic hierarchy structure is compartmentalised like any organisation. You'll see Freemasonic lodges in your local area who most of the time are oblivious and ignorant what goes above the pyramid structure, unless they go up in degrees. My wife's both uncles were ex-freemasons (quite high up in degrees) and they told us some dark stories and why they got out of it.

A lot of people like to bash "conspiracy theorists" because some of us are really loud, annoying and speak (or should i say yell) before they think. The silent majority of us just analyse the symbology of these societies and try to understand what their true intentions are, without risking our souls and joining them. These societies aren't just quaint after work boys clubs like most masons would tell you, the more you advance up the hierarchy the more significant the benefits you receive are, and they get quite significant once you start reaching the top. I won't try to proselytize on this issue, i just hope that some will try to open their eyes a bit to these "innocent boys clubs" a bit.

My dad is a mason and Freemasons believe in the supreme being and respect every religion you have. We are a muslim and most members are Christians. No one can join if you are non believer of God, the supreme being. So it's actually quite opposite what other people think about freemasonry. And as far as I know the meetings are closed to the public because of their ritualistic ceremony which has nothing to do with "satanic rituals". they have meetings as a member and as a citizen of the country they are in. But believe me, most of their meetings are about charity works. Just like what my organisation do, the daughters of the masons. I am a Job's Daughter (that's what we call in our organisation) we mostly talk about charity in our meetings and it is close. :) I hope this answer will satisfy your question.

You have the meetings where some history is taught, some ceremonial rituals, and lots of business deals are made....like a big social club for successful and semi-successful men. But there is a deeper and more exclusive sect that is the real freemasonry that goes back to King Solomon were the real "light" is shared.

@nukefluke what happens at meetings is not secret. Ask any Mason and he'll tell you what went on. Sometimes secrecy must be maintained in the cases of individuals appealing to lodges for charity. We would never tell who comes to us to ask as it might be very embarrassing for the applicant.

@Jay Workman not sure exactly what you are referring to. There is most certainly no sacrifice involved in any Degree of Freemasonry. However, there is a death. The story of the Third Degree, is of the principal architect of King Solomon's temple, Hiram Abif. When the temple was almost complete, three Fellowcraft workers accosted him and demanded of him, the secrets of a Master Mason. He had promised not to reveal them to those who are not qualified, so did not tell them. They murdered him because he decided to keep his word, his integrity being so important to him. It's symbolic.. allegorical...it never really happened, but it is hoped that the message of the Third Degree is communicated to him, that death holds no terrors for honourable men. If someone wanted to get involved in human trafficking, why would they need to join Freemasonry to do it? Jay, perhaps I should explain my qualifications for saying what I do.
