Best episode yet in my view. Brilliant philosophy but just a shame that a mighty club like Anderlecht is forced to sell most of it's talents to survive because some clubs in Europe have become billionaire's toys. These are the clubs that deserve to be in European finals as they used to be.

What the guy at the beginning said is less the philosophy of Anderlecht and more the philosophy of Belgian youth football. Results at the young level don't matter. It's about creating technical intelligent players.

A LOT of scouts in African countries. The best often get send to second division teams in Europe. I know a lot of Nordic countries have contacts in Africa as a gateway to test out good prospects. If they're good enough they're bought by better teams. Gift Orban is a Nigerian, discovered 2 years ago. Valued at 100k in July of 2022. Today valued at 20 million. Senegal, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, etc. often have people from those regions working for some European team watching youth games. Basically soccer teams take this shit so seriously, if you're good you're getting discovered.
