@@lnz971 luck was definitely involved, but the fact he managed to keep sainz behind is great when pierre is in a much inferior car [mclaren 3rd in standing, Torro rosso (alphatauri) 7th]. So it’s not ALL luck, but alot of it is, just like what happened in brazil last year, the circumstances were just perfect, so I’d say pierre is a lucky driver.

"prove them wrong" that's what Tonio said to Pierre when they demoted him to Alpha Tauri (then Torro Rosso). And he did! I am so proud of Pierre and what he has accomplished! Can't wait to see him more often in the podiums!

Uhm, I think that he was demoted not by results but because he wanted to be the Racer One over Verstappen. Checo RB16B was barely modified to adjust to his driving style, Gasly instead wanted his car adapted comoletely for him. I believe that Marko and Horner smelled fire just like Hamilton/Alonso on McLaren or Checo/Ocón on Racing Point, that's why Gasly has no option to return to Red Bull, he has the quality but his character may generetate a conflict.

Only thing is he could never be a hero in red bull and was better at Toro Rosso, consistently finishing within the top 10 in many races, that too at a time when Ferrari were the fastest. So I would say it was more like Hero to Zero to Hero!

Not gonna lie. Seeing 3 young poeple + checo after, on the podium, TRULY enjoying it and you see in their eyes they can't be more happier than that moment. It's pure gold.

4:34 The way the guy on the radio says "What did you do?" is the funniest moment in this F1 season! I'm always saying "What did you do?" the same way he said it. Forever!

Even though I knew everything that happened, by the end my hands were sweating. Huge props at everyone at Alpha Tauri for keeping their cool (especially both Pierre's). One for the history books.

what amazed me was his consistency. No mistakes at all while leading his first ever race. Imagine the pressure, it was the occasion to become the first French gp winner in 24 years! and yet, he absolutely mastered it, flawlessly

I remember on Netflix I watched season two before he got fired from redbull he said he would show the world and the look at his face in his eyes I knew he had so much to prove. And look at how many people he proved wrong that he is champion worthy.

Such a deserved victory, he's clearly one of the most talented drivers on the grid.

That chat at the end...still gives me chills...just WOW, these moments make F1 so special

This race was one of the most incredible things I have witnessed in a long time, what a season

3:23 someone forgot to change the colour of the hards from the 2018 "ocean blue" to the white that it is now!

Even though I've watched this clip so many times before I always get nervous at the end but then so happy! He really deserved that win, let's hope for many more!!❤

More of these! It's so interesting hearing the communication amongst multiple team members from the same team during the race.

i have become a mad fan of gasly now........what he said at 4:57 was very relatable.

This win was the start of something AMAZING for Gasly.....and he's gone on to improve tremendously after this...he's constantly in the top 6 against much superior cars!! Keep an eye on this lad for the future.... Champions are not born.... THEY'RE FORGED!!💯💯

The only race in 2020, we all felt the pain and happiness at the same time❤️ felt bad for Sainz and extremely happy for Gasly🔥

One of the great races of the decade this one. When the opportunity arose, Pierre kept his cool and took it. Fantastic result for him and the team. The chase from Sainz was equally fantastic too. F1 at its best that day.

I have seen and heard the clips about 10 times now and it still gets a smile on my face... I was watching live with my dad and just seeing all the chaos unfold and gasly win it was beautifull😂

I love these inside stories. F1 really has one of the best social media presence in sports.

Idk if the OP did it purposefully or not..But Survive to Drive 2020 is actually a clever joke to people who have a twisted sense of humour 🤣

That was probably the moxt exciting race i've watched since 2018, this or 2019 Canada and fight between Lewis and Seb. Although i was cheering for Carlos, i wasn't disappointed in the end.

My favourite video of the entire channel, never gets old
