As a therapist, I had non compliant teens, and I gave them permission to participate or not. But they did NOT have the choice to be in the sessions. I don't think anything would've changed if Caroline and Rachael had become friends. I don't believe that Caroline hated her, I think she was in love with her. If they'd been friends and Rachael eventually found out and rejected Caroline's advances, that most likely would've made Caroline even more hateful towards her because her 'love' had been rejected, leading to the same result. Just my opinion. If they had actually become friends, I genuinely wish the outcome had been different.

To those who are uncomfortable with the mother and sister smiling and laughing while talking about Rachel-They've cried so much from the day they found out she was murdered and over the years and I think that's a coping mechanism. I laugh sometimes when I'm nervous and smiled on the funeral of someone I love. That's my way of dealing with it. It's not disrespect, it's to prevent myself from falling apart. I've cried so much from the tragedy of losing someone I love so I had to find something to cope with while talking about him or else I'll just break down. You may not like or understand it but people have different ways to cope through stress and depression.

It kind of bothers me how they keep mentioning how unhappy Caroline's home life was and then contrasting it with Rachel's 'happy' one, and continually talking about Rachel's beauty and popularity. 1. I grew up in an incredibly abusive household and was bullied *horribly* in school. I was like the opposite of popular. But I did not ever harbor the desire to murder anyone so that's not exactly a prerequisite to jealous murder, they were simply circumstances I was born into. and 2. Rachel's death would have been just as tragic had she not been 'beautiful, popular, and happy.' Just a little pet peeve that I hear a lot in true crime reporting. On another note, not sure if everyone knows this but her mom actually wrote a book called Perfect Victim. It's really good!

@@donnadinsdale2308 I mean of course you're allowed to "judge" whoever you like.. but in most cases we judge others in order to feel better about ourselves, because we're either lacking self-acceptance or self-love. Judgment mostly has to do with us, not the people we actually judge 😑. Btw I'm in no way trying to be judgemental and you're definitely entitled to ur own opinion 🙂. I'm sure you were taught as a kid, If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. Right? I just don't see why folks feel the need to be all mean and cruel to others. People are literally grief shaming this family. Who TF are we to judge someone for the way THEY deal with losing someone they loved? It's appalling. Idk but people who anoint themselves the "Grief Police" deserve to be challenged.. again, that's just MY personal opinion though 😑. Idk, i guess I never knew there was a timeline on grief. Statements like these tend to cause deep shame on the griever. We ALL express grief DIFFERENTLY. There is no right or wrong way, and there's definitely no "timeline". We need to start doing better. Our only role should be to support and validate their experience. In hindsight, I'm sure we've all felt that "Should've, could've, would've" alarmbell ringing moment. However we live n we learn.. It's literally NEVER okay to judge ANYONE else's expression of grief. We're all judgmental ass humans that will think whatever tf we want 🤐 that's normal.. but we gotta learn how to keep our lil judgy ass, negative opinions to ourselves. We don't think before we speak smh. They could be dealing with some real DEEP shame as is. Imagine feeling extreme guilt from a loss, then some random mfs show up, randomly dowsing more fuel to that raging 🔥🔥 inside of you? We gotta do better as a society smh. To start, we need to treat other's like we would like to be treated. The internet will always be an ugly place but if we at least try to be better human fucken beings, perhaps the world won't be such an ugly place in the future.. gotta start somewhere right? Why not start off with a simple "Condolences for the family" or "sorry for your loss?" Shit ain't that hard man 😐

Shame that Rachel's murderer got such a light sentence. As for Kylie I think it says a lot about her character that she had no problem going to bed and having an affair and planning a life with a married man. I’m sure Kylie knew the evil, narcissistic, unemployed monster was married with a newborn so to let herself get pregnant AND tell him was just idiotic. It's beautiful the way wen Rachael's name is mentioned how her mum and sister smiles they obviously had some absolutely beautiful memories of her ,I would like to say Caroline is evil however I don't know her or anything about her life so it's not my place to lay blame there are definitely no winners it's sad devastating to say the least two families tormented because of the loss of a beautiful girl who had her life to live and family to love rip angel fly high

Love will never drive someone to commit murder. Love is something you do, not something you say! Most of us talk about love, but do we truly understand what it means to love someone?
