The second story. I want to say to naive grown children in college, please listen to your parents. They are coming from the deepest love of all. Mothers can sense when danger is around one of their children. It is a gut feeling. This monster could have killed Caitlyn's mother had he not found a substitute for her in Jackie. But too many times family or friends are targets. You put everyone around you at risk when you stay with an abuser or stalker.

But if you agitate this person, you should see the rage come to the surface and swearing of every word under the sun, then throws in tears for sympathy. I agree, I think it’s a sign of something else. I’ve never met a well adjusted, emotionally regulated human that does baby talk. I wonder why people do it. Maybe it’s a control thing, trying to control others emotions, keep things light and sweet, which could be why your coworker had such a dark switch flip when things didn’t go her way. My son was shot and killed on the 202 freeway just going home from work. Very much like Yancy. Like Yancy, Keith was every example of 'doing the right thing'. That was January 28th. We have heard nothing. We still have a killer on our Mesa, Arizona streets. Who is safe? Coming home from work, grocery shopping, in your car, in your home. WE ARE SAFE. Keith and his wife are retired Airforce. Do we care? We are losing our protectors on our own home lands. We cringe when a helicopter goes down overseas with our military. What about our veterans being killed in the war on our streets. - a mother looking for answers.

I just want to chime in and say that in some cultures the parents look at their children as extensions of themselves and tend to blame themselves for their children’s mistakes. It’s not a good or bad thing, it’s just different perspectives & culture. In Ancient Greece at some point it was even the opposite; if your parents messed up, you - as their child - were responsible if it was discovered after their death.

I’m 31. Did a LOT of crazy stuff when I was in my early 20’s, but never broke the law. My parents and grandparents said the same thing since childhood, “If you go to jail, you better have a lot of money, ‘cause we ain’t coming to getcha!”…. That scared me enough, I didn’t want to be stuck anywhere, I like my freedom. That one statement really worked! 😂

I've taught my daughter the same thing as Kaitlin's mother "People do not change. You cannot change people." I drill it into her head. When you see the red flags remove yourself...whether it be a boyfriend, a platonic friend male or female, a cousin, a coworker, a neighbor or whomever.

If Bowman had fired his gun in self defence, he wouldn't have fired 4 times and he probably would have been the one to call the cops. Instead, he fled from the scene and hoped he'd get away with it. He deserved more time and his wife should be held accountable for her lies.

I just had a knife pulled on me in a road rage attack 3 weeks ago. It was terrifying and absolutely shocking to say the least. I cannot imagine just driving, having a destination in mind, and never reaching it bc some demon wanted to experience the feeling of taking a life. My heart goes out to all parties involved… specifically Yancy’s life circle ♥️

You reminded me that a homelessness guy reclining on the sidewalk outside a church pulled a small folding knife on me & my little dachshund. Annie was running around the dark parking lot at the church as we have done many times. I was putting food in the food pantry at the time. When I went up to get her there was an awful man cursing at us- crazy &/or high of course. This was in Shoreline, north of Seattle near the quiet neighborhood where I grew up. When I ignored him & went back to my car, the battery was dead! My phone has been stolen days prior so then I cried. I waved someone down on the road and they called 911. FOUR law-enforcement vehicles responded. One officer jumped my car, and one told me they were going to arrest the bad guy as soon as I left. They had dealt with him before and were in full agreement he is crazy! I will not stop being a Good Samaritan! The Lord has given me angels & when my time comes I am CONFIDENT I will go to Him to join friends & family including my son. Michal Ann, 72 years old 🕊️🙏🙌🏼

This guy only got 29 years, which means he could be out much earlier than that. With all the evidence against him the fact he didn’t get life is a massive win. This man is a great lawyer to get his client such a light sentence considering the circumstances.

Story 2 I'm so proud of Kaitlyn being so smart, not allowing him to know her address,seeing the red flags and getting out, and staying away from him. And proud of her mother for teaching her these things. ❤❤❤ I wish them both the best. RIP Jackie😢💔 Also, great job from those officers that cared enough to do something to help a girl survive a stalker.

I love this young woman (Caitlin). Such great sense of self and esteem. She obviously got this from her mom. That 11-year age difference is a lot when you are 18 vs 29. So sad that Jackie died though.

The result of excellent parenting. Incredibly rare these days. Precious few people actually parent their offspring. Caitlen’s mother taught her about the signs of inappropriate behavior, things to watch out for, to have the courage to trust her instincts and be strong enough to walk away. Most girls would fall victim to his kind of BS… Jackie had no such lessons: no gut instinct, no clue. Without good parenting from early on = raising easy prey (or criminals).

All except falling for the hot guy with the tats. She says that a month into the relationship, he started showing his true colors. Young women need to slow down and get to know the guy before getting serious. Instead they go to bed with him on day one or two... and then he turns out to be a monster. By then he knows everything about her -- because she gave it to him!

FINALLY a cop that’s not willing to wait for someone to get violent. It’s so sad that someone still did but that just shows why it’s such an issue to have to wait till someone hurts you. From experience, when I was 18 I went in a few dates with a 32 yr old. My parents told me it was a little weird but they didn’t push the subject. With in days I started to see red flags everywhere. I feel like your still a bit immature at that age and when my parents basically trusted me to make an adult decision for myself I didn’t disappoint. But I Guarantee if they pushed I would have found any reason to prove them wrong. Mom was smart and raised a smart daughter

These are usually OLDer cases where old (crappy) cameras were used.

Dinh Bowman is scarier than most serial killers, as his actions were even more random and absolutely impossible to predict and protect yourself from. I wonder if his parents knew he is a psychopath or just thought he was excentric.

He only unalived 1 person right? I think if he got away with it, he would have become a serial killer like the Unibomber. I think his parents like everyone else who knew him thought he was 'special' and on the higher end of human inTELLigence. The arrogance he showed to the detectives speaks volumes. He beLIEves he's the smartest person in the room.... it's the way he was raised that way as child prodigies are given many privileges and why we sent ours to public school and got him active in sports. I made sure he had age appropriate friends at our home as that only child syndrome is preventable but more work for the parents of course.

He got 29 plus one month. That means he dies 29 and one month, no parole. Life, parole is possible in 7.

The 1st story was wild, the baby talk was disturbing! RIP Yancy 🕊 Caitlin is a really pretty young lady! Im so glad shes safe & got away from that creep! Its so scary to deal with people like Charles. I really hope that guy Never gets out, hes the kind that can Not be rehabilitated RIP Jackie 🕊 The last story was really sad, poor lady! And now her babygirl has to grow up without a mama 🥺😥 Btw, no1 is ever found "innocent", its "not guilty", but this dude was clearly Guilty RIP Carmen 🕊

There was a distinct lack of evidence in the third case. I don't believe he deserved to be found guilty.

Sadly Dinh Bowman's mother died 4 years after her awful son's trial and conviction.

Finally you have a female who listened to what, "moma taught her, seeing the red flags for what they were and listening to her gut feelings" ( Her job manager, "Ohhhh… I can't keep him out! Katlyn… "Then I can't work here!!!" ) Finally you have an individual in law enforcement ( Capt. Polk ) who took actions early on, for the behaviors Bryant was quickly displaying "stalking!!!!" So sad tho that he couldn't save Jackie.

I feel bad for Dinh’s mother. Obviously she raised her son too sheltered. He was a conceited and manipulative man who thought he can get away with everything. I hope Yancy is at peace.
