I cant understand why people just press unlike. I really enjoy these videos. It saddens med that despite that a person put up lots of effort get negative feedback in the form of unlikes. If you have unliked a person here on KZread more then two times, why follow and watch? Just go somewhere else.

I totally understand about casting multiple parts in the same color since I got into 3D printing. And not including a string so that some weirdo safety protocol had to be followed was a good call - back in MY day, you could have toys that could launch plastic bits so hard that they not only could put out your eye, but also possibly a window, and they were FUN! The option to re-live the glory days of 80's and 90's toys with a bit of elbow grease is worth it. Why, I remember the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Pizza Thrower that could knock an antique off of the mantle from across the room...we all learned a valuable lesson that day, I tell ya whut!

I just found your page and I LOVE THIS. As one of those 40% demographic 80s girls that was a huge He-Man fan I had everything. When the CLASSICS line came out, likewise I bought it All. I thought the line was brilliant and well done all around. Small issues happen no matter what, so I didn't concern myself with any of that. Thank you for all your hard work on this. When I think of something more interesting to say I will comment on another video.

I allways wondered though...what were the average Production numbers per figure in this line? or did that differ per figure ? Been wondering about that for years. Thanks for this Series , Toyguru !

Many of these incidents are unfortunate but not really a big deal. I have every MOTUC figure and have been lucky to not have any of the breakage as of yet. My biggest gripe in my collection is my Queen Angela who has a discolored shoulder where it looks like another color plastic was mixed in and created this grey looking swirl in her flesh color. I tried contacting Digital River for a replacement but never got a reply on multiple attempts. Otherwise, my collection looks incredible to me even with the little imperfections.

This is a great video. I completely understand why you could "admit fault" whilst you were formally in those shoes, but its nice to openly discuss them later on, with the added perspective that comes with time :) The only other figure that comes to mind for me is the foot detaching issue of Bronze King Grayskull - that seems to have been a common issue too and maybe its related to that sonic welding machine you talk about here too?

  • @spectorcreative1872

I am not a He-Man collector at all, but I love these insights into why certain things happen. I know (as a TMNT fan) fans are quick to complain... but there are certainly valid explanations for why something happened that seems blindingly obvious after the fact. And while some of them seem like simple fixes... clearly not when there are thousands of dollars on the line!

I'd say the biggest classics mistake was laying prince Adam on his back where you can't see him instead of standing next to orko lmao! Also speaking of mistakes I got the classics rotar and twistoid pack last week that one made me laugh

Maybe Scott can confirm but I suspect the torso is a different type of plastic. I put them out in the sun and 45 min later they are back to normal. I curious how long this will keep the white dusting away

@@spectorcreative1872 The 2000x series was incredible but it had no audience with children unfortunately. And the original line is creative and basically why we're still in conversation lol but that's it. I guess it comes down to brands and companies cause Marvel can do it while DC chooses not to?? Lol and others like MOTU and lesser marketable brands struggle to get stuff out to collectors. Basically just sour cause MOTU isn't as big as Marvel 😂

Oh he certainly is one of the issues of the original line being that the designers were not pleased with the detachable armour problem. I keep watchin' all your past videos and I wanted to say somethin' only at the end of this "watchin' the re-runs" but I have to say somethin' about this video. I hate to say this because with every video my respect toward you is goin' up and up, and I'm every time so thankful. But as a long time fan and subscriber since 2011 I have to be sincere: the Black Plastic Morbo (as I called it back in 2013) was a moronic mistake. I can understand if somebody want to try this on statues but not on action figures and we already had problems with painted-over parts, so I can't understand how it was considered feasible. All these figures are ruined, even the ones that are still mint on card. As much we knew and appreciated that you tried to climb every mountain to keep the price down, the fans were just insulted when the Black Plastic Morbo was presented as a design choice to make the colors different and not as a cost-saving measure. It's like burnin' the entire house to disguise the fact that you burned down the couch, not every subscriber was happy to be treated like that. The other 9 mistakes, and other that happened in the line (I have a long list), are just "usual" mistakes, you can learn to live with them, for example the reversed shoulders, yes they are reversed but once it's on the shelf isn't hurtin' your eyes or, another example, you can use superglue on the Goddess, and so on... is it annoyin'? Yes and yes they are mistakes but, in someway, you can live with these mistakes, the figure aren't so blatantly visually ruined. With the Black Plastic Morbo it's totally different, the figures are chipped and ruined. Thank you again for your time, for your videos and for this wonderful and epic MOTU line that will go in history as the best one after the vintage.

They doubled the cost of Filmation figures when they could have kept it down for such simple sculpts lacking detail and paint. 3. They shipped Stridor WITHOUT A SHIPPING BOX causing many collectors to receive the figure trashed. A nightmare for MIB collectors. 4. Let's be honest. Practically every figure had an issue. When all is said and done, you, Scott, were just in over your head. The fact that you are still trying to justify things and in your explanations you still haven't changed your attitude after all these years proves that you simply were not up to the job. I am not hating, just being realistic. Everything great about this toy line was from everybody else apart from you. If anything, you held the line back. I love this line so much, it genuinely pained me watching you shoehorn yourself into every aspect of it. Instead of honouring the brand, you used it as a tool for self promotion and narcissism. These videos prove you still are. Shame on you.

I think it is less justify things rather as much as trying to offer explanations and logic as best I can.
