The Edward figure on the mailbox and the one in the back yard on the ladder were sculpted by my husband, Jean St. Jean, when he worked at MacFarlane Toys. They used one sculpt to produce both a 7" figure, the one on the mailbox, and an 18" figure that is the one in the backyard.

I think Jordan was right about the zoning problem for putting a cafe there at the house. He brought it up early in the video but the owner kind of cut him off and changed the subject. The later in the back yard the owner talks about having a cafe there again and Jordan didn't bring it up again. Jordan is a really nice guy!

@@ms.donaldson2533 Really it's just zoning laws. There's residential and commercial. For a restaurant you need commercial.

I literally live 5 minutes down the road from this man. You'd be surprised how quickly the hype died about the movie being made here! It's sad because it's a cool neighborhood!! Great trick or treating!!

Really!? I’m surprised. The neighborhood aesthetic was such a big part of what made that movie great.

Now this guy was too cool, and this whole experience was definitely one of the best! Sad that Hollywood won't step in to preserve this, but hopefully your video can help find the right person to buy and preserve this history. What a great day!

I work in the Art Department in TV / Film we are the ones responsible for the set construction, scenic painting, set decoration aka flipping the neighborhood so I see this all day in and day out at work & it really becomes routine second nature but certain movie houses from my favorite movies / tv will nerd me out still big time and this is definitely one of them!! Super cool, and love this guys enthusiasm. Awesome video

Joey is such a kind man to everyone that visits his home. He has gone to great detail to make it look exactly like the movie. I visited and he is just so much fun to talk to. Thanks Jordan for another great adventure.

I completely agree about buying any other house if you don't care that it was a filming location. Maybe I'm biased because my dream is to own the house that was in 10 Things I Hate About You, but it just feels like a waste if it doesn't belong to someone that appreciates it.

Another wonderful movie house vlog. That guy was totally cool, I especially loved what he wanted to do. He is right, preserving historical sites, even movie filming locations is definitely something we should be doing for ages.

I used to live very close to this area and visited it a number of times. Now the neighborhood looks so normal. The movie was an incredible transformation. Thank you, to the owner for sharing his wonderful and unique home with all of us. Wonderful memories.

I love this and greatly appreciate the owners respect and love for the film and fans. I believe the only part where the castle was that you can match up is a fence post from a local news report that did a spot for with the castle in the background. I think Johnny would do something to help if anyone would. Thanks for taking us along, buddy!🤘🥳

Oh my gosh I used to have that exact figure of Edward that was on top of the mailbox, also it’s interesting to note that the color of the families home where Edward stays looks very similar to that lavender color make up that the mom puts on him in the movie.

Fun fact for you Jordan- In an interview, Johnny Depp said that during one scenes where he was running in the neighborhood, it was so hot that he ran between two of the houses and vomited! Dianne Wiest told a slightly different version, saying that he actually passed out. I was about 20 when they were filming this movie, and lived about 8 miles away. I had no idea that they were filming the movie until my aunt mentioned it to me one day. I wish I would have taken a closer look! As of today I only live about a mile and a half from the house. Also, my understanding is that the cast and crew stayed at Saddlebrook Resort in Wesley Chapel nearby during filming. I've located the road that the castle was on in Dade City. Great video, I really enjoyed this, and I love the movie Edward Scissorhands. Much thanks.

What a fantastic, phenomenal vlog man,really 👏,that guy was just a friendly ,awesome person and his property and memorabilia is incredible. Just great how folk embrace and keep the theme alive like this 👌, I just hope the next owners keep it going too because the owner now has done a phenomenal job,it's going to take some equalling. Love these vlogs when you get inside a property/building Jordan,result 👍👍.

This is very cool. I'm sure the issues with starting a Cafe is licensing issue. I imagine there is a work around. I visited a cool place in NYC called Beetle House. It's a Tim Burton themed restaurant. Items from the menu are a throw back to his films. It was decorated in purples and lit by candle It was a neat place and they had a Beetlejuice impersonater who was really fantastic. I would love to live in this house.

I love that movie, my kids were very young when we first watched it and they are still big fans of Edward Scissorhands.

The trees and vegetation grew so much. I didn't realize how big some trees get in just 20 - 30 years. I always thought it took so much longer for some trees to get so huge and so wide.

Very cool! We live in Lakeland and go by the Southgate shopping center where parts of the movie were made too all the time.

I grew up with this movie and lived in the burbs of Tampa when it was made. One of my classmates even was selected to be one of the kids in the school scene where the kids all lean back in their chairs. I will always support ya Depp! (Especially with a Tim Burton vision)
