I've been at it for 100 hours, and I still feel that the game wants to give me more... Completely replayable and enjoyable. This is what Final Fantasy series must be.

I hate saying it but… definitely not 😀 Square Enix can’t and will not survive if they make games like this all the time. It’s an amazing love letter to the game, to the myth, to us… but I am SO SURE it will not break even

The soundtrack is on par with Lord of the Rings and Dune. It's absolute genius

It's actually insane that this game exists, to be honest. Having never played the original, I was constantly blown away by just how much the game kept giving, like you think you've finished one thing then boom, even more, pops up. Get to Chapter 12 and boom, 20 more hours of content opens up like what even. I'd argue that this isn't just GOTY material, it's up there as one of the greatest games in a generation alongside Elden Ring, The Witcher, Skyrim, Etc.

It turns out that this game doesn't have the soul of the OG. They invented a lot of nonsense in the game, which is not part of the mythology of FF VII. That simple.

​@@abelald1310I think it's a VERY strong contender, but also Helldivers 2 came out this year and whilst it's nowhere near as ambitious in its scope as Rebirth, it seems to have become a cultural phenomenon overnight. I think we might also be getting Stalker 2 towards the end of the year which I think could stand a chance

I've clocked 47hrs and about to go to Gold Saucer. This game is an experience fillled with all kinds of emotion. To compare, this is my Star Wars and I know Final Fantasy will be done right.

I genuinely think it’s one of the most impressive games ever made. The fact that they were able to do all this in four years doesn’t really make sense to me. And let’s not forget, some of that was during the pandemic. Obviously it’s not perfect, the lighting needs work and the performance mode thing is unfortunate, but this is my favorite game that’s come out in years.

More than half of the cast are meh/downright skippable (only the main cast, so Celes, Locke, Terra, Shadow, Kefka etc are interesting), and it's ridiculously broken. Now ff14, not sure about that, either. I've been playing it since 2014 (I just played 3hrs today, too), but comparing ANY offline single-player game to an MMO is cheating imo.

It’s the greatest game I’ve ever played…. The original lived with me for 27 years, I’ve never been so excited for a game release and this delivered in every area. It’s a remake of the greatest game I’ve ever played, it was impossible to not be anything less than sensational and over 100 hours in, I’m still experiencing ground breaking moments and my love of these characters has been enhanced, so much so, even Cait is one of my favourites after this remake. It’s hard to make this appeal to a neutral, but as a fan it’s nothing short of brilliant. A masterpiece!!!

This might be on my top 10 games ever. The team did a super job. Thank you.

I played the original and now my kids are playing this one after playing remake. The memories made after remembering little things like the shin-ra manor code. 140 in and I got my platinum trophy. I can say in those all 33 years that I have been alive. I never had such experience, joy, emotional feelings, cried, smiled, laughed so much with a game like this game made me. Its by far, the best game I've played in my entire life and I'm so happy to be alive to experience this. Thank you SquareEnix, thank you for this amazing experience that I'll NEVER FORGET.

This game filled my heart with the kind of joy and wonder that I haven’t felt since I was a child. It’s truly magical. This is more than just Game of the Year to me, it’s one of the greatest games of all time.

It is crazy how much detail and stuff they put in the game in such short amount of time.

To be honest Remake changed my life for the better. I was jobless and in my lowest before I played the game, I came across a No Commentary full gameplay of Remake and eventually became interested. ( My dad loved playing Final Fantasy when he was alive. I can still remember he always had a copy of Advent Children on his phone, and Ive also watched it alooot of times) I ended up watching streamers reactions to Remake and got hyped up, especially with the crazy theories with Maximillian Dood. It was 2022 that time, I know I was late and it has been 2 years since its release but I got deeply engrossed. I was also watching the Rebirth trailer on FF7 Anniversary and got worried I might not be able to play it and just stick to watching gameplays in KZread. But what a life-I landed on a job-that I even love and have the passion for- with the most understanding and amazing Boss and colleagues! Able to save up to buy PS5 and got to play FF16 when it released and now just completed Rebirth! ( Currently playing Hard Mode) and I was able to better myself too. Im excited to play Part 3 but Im also scared and for sure be sad to see the end of the Trilogy. But Im just so thankful that Square has given us the opportunity to see FF7s world with depth. Im hoping hoping more people will give it a shot 😊

FF7 Rebirth is magical. Everything about this game has made me feel so happy. It’s one of the greatest games of this era, just as the original game was back in the 1990s.

Honestly, I didn't like the part they invented at all, about the Whispers, and the multiverse. Disappointed because I really wanted a remake of this game, and now the chance to do it well was lost =\

Rebirth truly is the game that keeps on giving. Every time you hit a supposed ceiling, your greeted with more challenges unlocked. Not too mention it has almost endless replay ability over the upcoming years. The side characters and side quests are spot on. Idk what was different about the production of this game in comparison to the past 20 years of releases, but I hope they recognize and continue whatever magic made it possible. Landmark game of character development and how remakes can look. GOTY.🎉 Incredibly excited for the last game. ❤

What I experienced for more than 150 hours was something I hadn't felt in a long time, when I was 9 years old. 27 years later you've given me back my innocence, you've made me travel, and for that alone I'm eternally grateful 🙏

I know there's a sort of bias because I instantly clicked this video upon seeing the title and everything. But I need to let anyone who is reading this know, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is the best videogame I've played in my entire life. It's a beautiful realization of the FF7 world, the characters and music and landscape and NPCs and writing and dialogue make everything feel so ALIVE, it's a world worth fighting for. This is quite likely one of the greatest gaming moments I'll ever experience in my entire life, and I'm being 100% honest. I love this game with all of my being, Final Fantasy has helped to shape me from my youth, and to now, I am thankful to experience these stories. I can not thank everyone, and should I name names, I'll surely miss a ton. But thank you, sincerely, genuinely sincerely. Videogames as a cornerstone of culture.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is an unbelievable achievement. It's hard to believe it's real sometimes.

In that game there is so much stuff you could make 2 games out of it and no one would complain. It really is a special game and since i know the characters for almost 25 years its so beautiful to go to that journey with them again. It shows that game was made by people who deeply care about it and not for the quick buck.

This game has changed my life.

One of the best games I've had the pleasure of playing, in many moments it far surpasses the 97 game, looking forward to the third game.

Best Final Fantasy game and ive played them all. I was in complete awe for all 150 hours and still finding new stuff. They really, really did it 😭❤️

One Word : "Masterpiece"

This game deserve every praise it gets. It goes beyond all your expectations all the time. It perdectly encapsulate the spirit of the golden era of Final Fantasy. I hope people that think Final Fantasy is bad because of XIII to XV will finally experience why Final Fantasy was a big deal and deserves to be again.

40hrs in now at chapter 9, don’t want to rush it so I could savour every detail in the game and it’s simply amazing - thank you sqex and the team ❤🎉

If only the performance was not so bad on PS5, the frame pacing, the insane motion blur, terrible TAA implementation. The Dynamic resolution that go under 480p. The game is definitly beautifull during cutscene but all the gameplay phase are terrible cause of the PS5 Hardware. You have to be playing at 5 meter of your TV to not see how the performance of the game is terrible. Their need to release it on PC asap.

The performance is quite stable, aside from a few drops in combat and Nibleheim, which never drops below 50fps at its worst. And 30fps mode is absolutely rock solid. The issue is the dynamic resolution and lighting, not the framerate. Also, 480p? Bit of an exaggeration. "Resolution for performance mode averages at 1152p"-DF.

I can say that they have done an AMAZING JOB with the music and every detail in the towns making it feel so alive.

They've really hit the nail on the head with FFVII Rebirth, capturing exactly what makes a modern Final Fantasy shine. I'm hoping they keep riding this wave of success into future numbered episodes, building on what they've already achieved.

Glide de Chocobo by itself deserved it’s own GotY award.

About 100+ plus hrs in and only about halfway into the game haha❤❤❤

This game is wonderful! I just hit the 100-hour mark and i finally decided to pass the point of no return. I haven't even made it to the end yet, but im so ready for the feels! There is so much to do in this game, and I've never been bored for a second. Thank you, Square Enix, for putting so much TLC into this series!

Can’t believe this game is real… Rebirth is my wildest dreams for Final Fantasy become real. Proud to be there for the franchise in its ups and downs it was a long wait to see FF7 fulfill its promise but we are finally here :)

Had the fortune to play original ff7 during high school, played remake, and now rebirth. Rebirth is better than remake I have to say, but my heart still goes to original as the best overall game ever

The minigames were always my favorite thing about the original ff7 game and Rebirth did NOT disappoint in that area (or any other tbh) they did an amazing job

Love everything in it. It exceeded my expectation. The game is massive, with a lot of unrepetitive sidequest and a ton of minigames. I hope they make this kind of gameplay as a standart for their next Final Fantasy Series.

I have 15 out of the 21 Final Fantasy Platinum trophies. These games helped define me as a man. They helped me through my fathers death. I cannot thank all of the creators enough. If I could bow my head under the floor to you, I would. Thank you, forever.♾️
