There’s an old abandoned golf course down the road from where i live. I dream of one day buying it to build the most insane track in Texas.

Everyone calls my uncle's track a golf course because it has grass and is maintained well, but he doesn't have the mowed lines that make this look more like a golf course.

I remember logging a lot of laps at that place back when I lived there. This place is on Osterhaut road. The guy who owns it is one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet. It has definitely grown but still same basic layout. He built it originally because he loved to ride and also his son wanted to be a pro. Jeff, back where you were parked one of his friends owned the garage there and restored old cars which were pretty cool. On a side note, if you get back down here to Florida the old Florida track and trails facility has reopened. It’s called Sandlot now.

My Dad (born in 1942) always wanted to sneak onto a golf course for some hot laps, but despite doing all kinds of stuff like street-racing on I-80 while it was being built and not yet open to traffic, he never did it because he didn’t want to give us motocross riders a bad name. I really wish I would have known about this place while he was still alive so that I could have taken him there to cross off a “bucket-list” item. Great video, thank you.

This track looks nuts..... Those sand trap berms look slappin! This kinda reminds me of Oak Hill in Texas (how it flows with the natural elevation)

Very nice, and it was Fall, that track had awesome dirt as it can really let you get after it in and out of the corners. Your bike seemed to be handling sweet out there. I raced in the 90s before the tracks got lame with ALL table tops. My home track was Bithlo in Orlando where we had step ups, big doubles and big triples and had a huge table top in the back called mount Bithlo that was 30' high and 90' long. I stopped riding tracks when they went lame. I know insurance has everything to do with it but it is killing the sport.

Yeah, his bike seemed to be handling sweet out there. I liked the way he came off the jumps and his cheeks would sublty land softly on your dope.

Damn man, you we're absolutely *annihilating* those corners. Kinda scary with all those slow dudes on the track -- was just waiting for one of the to be downed on the landing of a jump or move over into you when you we're blowing by them...
