This stuff is what makes dirt bike riding awesome. I'm an ex pro AMA racer, now I'm 56yrs of age and this is my haven, love it, hope you enjoyed it also. It's a break from the normal grind of MX/SX which back in my day was a way to learn balance and flexability

These are definitely the kind of videos I like. I love exploring and finding new riding spots. Specially when you got a few friends to ride with. #KEEPONKEEPINGON!

All I can wish for in my future is a solid group of buds to do the stuff I enjoy with. You got a new sub hahaha, keep it real.

Enjoy your dirt riding times with your buddies. Someday you will find a girl, fall in love, have kids, and have grand-kids but the dirt biking passion never quite seems to leave your body. Then you get old and get a cruiser motorcycle and that kinda quenches the dirt bike passion just enough to keep you sane. Street riding while being fun is a poor substitute for the thrill of dirt riding. Dirt riding on new trails and through nature is like walking into wedding reception with lots of pretty girls and you are the only guy! I feel like that is why the supermoto line has steadily gained much popularity as riders are trying to replicate the dirt ride on the street. I would love to just take one ride with you guys. If I could bring back one riding experience in my life it would be with myself and my buddy Tom. I was in 7th grade and he was in 6th. We had a massive snowfall in Michigan and then as we slept we had a very rare for Mid Michigan winter sleet storm. School was called off so I spent the night at his house. We stayed up late in his garage with a wood fired heater, radio playing country music because WPLB (the country giant) was the only station the old transistor would pull in out in the workshop but we didn't care. We knew all the rock and all of the country songs. Spending time with your buds was made fun regardless of the task at hand. We heard thunder and looked outside after a couple of hours of being in the shop. Sometimes we would just sit around the fire and talk about the future ideas, girls, more ideas and more girls. Sometimes we would take an ax and split a piece of wood. Then take the half and split it again each time choosing the largest piece. Pretty soon we were down to a sliver of wood the size of a pencil and it was a fireside competition so to speak. Boys seem to always make a competitive game out of just about anything. As we looked outside we could see the old willow tree starting to strain from the ice that had slowly begun to collect on the branches. After a few days of zero degree weather and then light rain it is an amazing thing to see. We then lifted My Honda-50 C-110 model and his Suzuki 80 very similar looking up on the work bench. These were both scrambler motorcycles with a high pipes and some used knobby tires that we had purchased and put on. We adjusted the chain's cleaned the plugs, cleaned and adjusted the breaker points and timing. We checked the oil, made sure all the wiring was good tested the lights and topped off the gas tanks. The next morning after breakfast and after bundling up in our snowmobile suits we went on a walk across the yard to the workshop. As you looked across the fields and woods the trees sparkled like diamonds in the sunlight. The willow tree had a massive branch broken off and was laying in the yard. sometime later Tom told me to take a small piece of that tree and stuck it in the ground in at my house so I did. Although neither myself or my parents still live there the now massive willow tree is still growing in the back yard. As we walked away from beneath the trees the snow started to support our entire weight. We looked over at the 5 and 6 food drifts in his yard. Immediately with out saying a word we both ran over to the drifts. You could walk across the top of the snow like it was pavement. We walked up the side of the barn bridge hill across a massive drift. We could not believe our eyes as some snow drifts would be 6 feet deep had somehow overnight had been converted to natures pavement. The wind had blown hard a day or so before and created all sorts of mogels in the snow like a motocross track that had been ridden over a thousand times. However nature has a way of making everything very smooth but with a rough surface kind of like 5 grit sandpaper. Yes the ice was slippery but different from the ice on a pond. This was textured with little pencil eraser sized bumps that while being slippery still offered a fair amount of traction. The snow was so high that many of the drifts were above fences that divided the farmers properties so you could literally ride down the fence row until you saw a drift and then cross over to explore another huge area. We rode the entire day, up hills, through swamps over the roads, Across the deep county drainage ditches snow bridges had formed so we even had the nerve to cross over one of them. We then went through the woods across ponds and into the little neighboring towns. It was truly one the most amazing riding experiences of our lives. Later in life we both got into racing motocross and building our own AMA sanctioned track but that single day and very icy memory still lives deep within my soul. Unfortunately my buddy Tom passed on to the other side about 10 years ago so I only have like minded folks out there like you to share this memory with. So please keep these fun times in your mind as when you get old like myself your memories are very much like a valuable collection of precious gems. ride on Larry Cone Grand Rapids, Mi.
