Social pressure is also a thing. If you lose in a pool hall that has been your life, literally, for years. It can destroy you, even though people might forget about it a week later. Some people take things so seriously, a lost game can crush them mentally.

Pool is a physical pressure where poker is mental tho, I’ll give pool that. But the decisions u have to make in poker are much less informed and mind bending then lining up angles
