Keep in mind in the first fight Donaire was effectively the only opponent who had ever been even remotely competitive against him. He’s not just extremely good. He’s still getting better.

3:43 that first knockdown was brutal, donaire had no idea what happened or where he was. Rachel had to tell him to put his gloves up or he would've been counted out right here

I remember watching this fight live and absolutely screaming when Inoue knocked Donaire down at the end of the first round. It hurt watching the beatdown continue in the second, though. I still love Donaire. Can't wait for boxing on Boxing Day!

Look at the slow motion replays at 7:08 and 7:24. So freaking beautiful and brutal at the same time

Rewatching this, it's really incredible how Donaire was able to keep fighting for so long, even landing some really good shots of his own with his legs gone, using elbow frames to create angles, and even driving Inoue to the ropes to unload some offense all while being severely rocked. Nonito was a great champion. I think this fight really took a lot from him though.

Impressive but also extremely dangerous. Sometimes it’s better to take the knee and recover. Staying on your feet when you are that hurt can lead to much worse damage in the long run. These are fighter putting their body on the line, and I rather have them healthy than brave.

This boy..... I thought Manny Pacquiao was the greatest boxer I have ever seen....but this Japanese boy....he has no end...he is ruthless...he is accurate and he is totally destructive

People say Donaire was washed is only trying to discredit Inoue’s win. Donaire knocked out 2 previously undefeated fighters including a champion prior to this fight. Inoue is on another planet in terms of boxing skills and talent.

Yeah but he struggled on their first fight with Donaire actually fracturing his right orbital bone and nose bone despite losing to him.

One of the best fighers ever. The Monster is right up there, because he is THAT good.

Round 2 was a surgical finish. LIke an experienced logger chopping down a tree

I got nothing but respect for these fighters.

Donaire did his best to keep the lights on but the Monster eventually shuts him down into darkness

Rewatching after the Tapales fight. I think I can confidently say that this fight is the best that Inoue will ever be. Even though Inoue beat Tapales, I can see how much slower he is at 122. This version of Inoue beats anyone in his weightclass, in history. This was a Masterclass from a prime, fully motivated, and honestly a little scared, Inoue. I feel blessed to be able to witness this level of skill in any sport. First Michael Jordan, then Hakuhō Shō, Now Inoue, all in my lifetime, and on record to be rewatched as much as I like. Praise God.

Nah it's way too early to say that he's peaked. He's had 2 fights at SBW lol. Inoue is still getting used to 122, and his ring weight vs Tapales was a few pounds heavier than he was against Fulton. Give him time to acclimate to the new weight before saying that he's "slowing down".

This is my favorite Inoue fight 💯

Inoue keeps levelling up after each fight like it's a videogame. He got clipped by Fulton, I think after that fight these past few months he would have ironed out his weakness of little head movement. He already worked alot on his defense at Freddy Roaches gym but I'm eveb more excited to see what he'll show us on the 26th of December.

It’s not he has bad head movement but he likes moving back to take the force away from the punch. I don’t he really cares about getting hit as long as it doesn’t do much. All of the punches that Fulton landed on Inoue was when Inoue was moving back which took away the force of the punches. He likes to give his opponents confidence.

inoue lowering his defence after round 5 was on purpose. he said it himself. he knew fulton doesnt have the power to hurt him and he did that to give fulton some confidence to hit him which resulted in fulton having many openings

Tapales is a good fighter but I don't think he can handle Inuoe's punch picking, timing, and power. This fight shows how much Inoue improved just in a short time.

Bruh he handled Naoya's punches than Donaire. I like his mayweather style of defense, someone should use it correctly against the monster.

Father time catches up with everyone no exceptions but inoue has become scary hes just keeps getting better

The ref honestly saved Donaire's health this fight. It could have ended very badly knowing his mentality to keep going. Inoue with Reyes gloves is too lethal.

Such a blend of speed and power. Donaire is a great fighter, HOF worthy, but Naoya is on a different level. The strategy also very good.

A loss with honor. Never clinched never ran.

On Tuesday he fights the Phillipino, Tapalas who is a 2-belt World Title holder. Naoya is at peak body and experience level now and fighting better each fight. Gonna be a tough fight for the Phillipino I suspect.
