Indonesia Plant Nursery tour @ ragunan kav 26

Here's a nursery tour in Jakarta covering common to rare plants. Mr Agustinus, the owner of Kav 26 in this nursery have been so kind as to give me care tips and tour previously, that I decided to focus on his nursery in this trip. In the beginning of the video I wander into other nurseries to check out other plants first. I was surprised (and happy) to see how Mr Agustinus nursery explode with growth and prosperity. I include prices in this video so you guys know what we pay for plants here in Indonesia, but do not quote the prices listed on this video as they do fluctuate every day.
Good news, this nursery does ship overseas. Contacts below.

Abang2 on nursery : - if we ask about the plant care, they casually answer nothing special - sometimes not really familiar with exact name/type - the plants are thriving Most of us : - do research about the plant - watch tons of care tips video - the plants are still dying

Their plants do die on them as well haha. Those that you see are already acclimatized, plus the nursery is setup for plants to thrive

Haha I think its because sometimes plant care cannot be explained it in words... its an intuition built upon by years of experience, trials and mistakes.

@@onlyplants interesting tips he gave just now. if soil got water retention, just water a bit. I didnt water my plants often but the soil were wet for a long period of time. My alocasia even went dormant. Shouldve just mist the plant.

the impatiens you got are frequently used in landscaping in the states, called “new guinea impatiens” i believe. they tolerate more sun than the “regular” impatiens (shade only outdoors). related to a wetland loving plant with a very different bloom-called “touch me not”. when touched, the little green seed pods violently curl and expel their seeds! to take one between your fingers and feel it ‘squirm’ is creepy cool!

I have struggled with my zebrinas too, but once I moved them on my backyard green house, they flourished. It's hard to grow them indoors as I've expirienced but I want them inside, so most of my indoor plants now have duplicates in my green house and I swap them every week or so with the ones indoors. I don't know if I got it from you, or some other youtuber but it did wonders for me. I also noticed when I started watering my plants with rain water, they've become healthier, I seldom fertilize my plants, I guess rain water is enough to give my plants a boost to grow... It's my first time hearing you speak in your native language, it sounds good to me, but I have a feeling that it's a bit awkward for the native speakers listening and you. Haha. Just like me when I try to speak in our own dialect, people assume I'm stupid, or sometimes I come off arrogant because I cannot speak it well. LOL
