52.9 degrees C = 127.22 degrees F, seemingly. As an aside, as others have noted is sort of misleading title perhaps, and was outlier for day's temp readings around city perhaps with most temp sensors in the city measuring a temperature of 45 to 50 degrees.

Here's a shocking trend. In my family, I have two college sons. One, the younger, at 21 just got his driver's license about a year ago, and just last month bought his first car used Toyota Camry ICE. The older one, 22 still does NOT have his driver's license and does NOT want to own a car or drive at all. He would prefer to use his bicycle or use some form of mass transit. But that's far different than my own generation, we all learned to drive around 16-17 age and maybe got our own cars sometime in the next 3-4 years, I being the slowest having a small scooter until later. But that's another sociological advancement. Young adults are choosing to use alternative forms of transport. Like bicycles, or buses or trains. I do believe we need fewer cars especially the old ICE type. They need to be phased out completely, but junked, not sold off to be transported to poorer countries has used cars for poor people to buy. In that case, they will still be driven and that negates the selling of it. Now in my area, there is a new regional train service and it will be adding a station in my town, very nearby. So I can use that to go to the airport if I travel rather than drive and leave the car at the parking lot. It can sit here and not move at all.

Business as usual. Like putting on sunscreen for a day at the beach for the Boxing Day Tsunami. Just wearing a wet towel over one's head and then riding out on your motorbike or car is pointless. Your machine is killing you. I have a SUV I bought 21 years ago when nobody was talking about climate change then like now. So I could sell it and just ride my bike. but then somebody else will drive it. It's like giving a gun to a child. The gun needs to locked up and only used in rare emergencies. Like my SUV, I drive very, little now. I consolidate trips and try to avoid any recreational activity that involves driving somewhere. Fortunately I have a great bike and a food store nearby. So I can drive much less. That's the key. Even getting a more efficient car, a hybrid or an EV would involve the cost and energy use to dig up the lithium, make the batteries and still charge it. I don't have solar at my complex. So I would have to drive to a station and leave the car to charge for maybe an hour or so. But it's the energy used to make the car from the raw materials up. How was that energy generated to power the mines and the factories? How much fossil fuels or petroleum products were put into making the plastics and wiring and connectors and lubricants and paint even? A lot of things go into making the things that are later assembled together to make the subsystems that will be bolted and welded together to make a car. Each step plus the transport of the parts to other places and the transport of workers from a city building to a factory somewhere else is energy used. How was all that energy generated? By a nuclear power plant. Or by a coal or oil burning power plant?
