    Me too, currently on with it. MOD1 soon whilst it is less busy in winter I drove around Vietnam, Thailand and Laos so riding in the UK is a joke in comparison with our actual road rules 😅

    Wathing your speed on film looks so much faster and quite scary as opposed to actually riding it. Thanks for the video. By the way, some of the other bike riders road sense were so bad and that's after saftey being a huge element.

    Yes, the wide angle lens certainly exaggerates the speed doesn't it.

    Thanks for clarifying that taking wrong way wont lead to a fail as long as the safe ride remains. Taking my mod2 in a different city that im going first time since mine doesnt have mod2 bookings and the independent ride was my biggest cornern.

    @@Lets-rideUk Thanks. Would like to ask you when it comes to turns and the instance to be a right one from 2 to 3 position if doing only right mirror-signal-shoulder without left mirror check can it be accepted by the examiner or would probably result in a minor or potential fail if continuously done through the whole test ? Just curious as ive spoke with a person who on his mod2 uploaded video was doing exactly that and i was surprised that he didnt got any minor for not doing both mirror checks regardless of the turn and focusing only on the primarily important one for the turn direction without the other one.

    "Effective observation" - whatever that means! I'd imagine a singular mirror would be fine in this instance, yes. We teach both as to get a good, all-round picture of what's happening behind and to basically cover all bases!

    can you exit into the left hand lane if your in the far right lane at the roundabout at 6:20 ?

  • @Lets-rideUk

    @Lets-rideUk

    2 ай бұрын

    Possibly but you'd have to do some good checks before doing so as lanes 2 & 3 go right on this roundabout. Easier to exit into the right lane and move across when safe to. So easy for another vehicle to get in your blindspot here, or even undertake you. Or you could use late 2 to go right....

    @@Lets-rideUkThank you. For normal roundabouts that don’t have 2 lanes going right is it always sensible to spin off into the far left lane when exiting ?

    Why do the testers like progress and max speed so much? This isn't how I drive my car as I like to be smooth. My instructor, 30 years ago,to,d me it's a limit not a target. I'm not slow and will keep up with others (although not over the limit) but I don't rag my car to get there. This is tge one thing giving me stress about the mod 2.

    Appropriate speeds, but if it's safe to do the speed limit then you should do it so as not to hold up traffic behind. Some B-roads on the Poole test routes you wouldn't want to do much more than 40mph, even though they are a National.

    @@Lets-rideUk oddly Police driving instructors point out you don't have to and say don't bother as it may confuse other drivers at times.
