If a Truck backs up too far it is the "Load Spotters" fault - no matter what. Here in Canada on these types of projects we tell all Drivers "Don't be a hero". The Dozers are there to push the material over the edge. No Driver is ever told to back up as far as he can. Ever. And anyone who tries to dump when the Truck is on a slant should never drive a Truck again.
This was not the proper way for earth filling, top soil and soft material were not removed. Earth filling should be carried out from bottom, layer by layer of about 1 foot thick, then compact as specified in spec., corresponding test should be carried before proceeding to next layer.
Just push it over the edge its not woth saving...

Every truck is grossly overloaded. Typical rsoles grinding some poor persons machinery into the ground, so they can get that extra $'s worth of profit margin. Obviously this is some 3rd world set up, because I'd be sending the bill to the developer and notifying safe work department. Crazy weights on these trucks.

Grossly overloaded Trucks aren't a problem, as long as thw driver has the necessary skill to manouver them. But thats the problem in this operation, when filling such a great height at once the operator must not go as far to the back, he should have tipped in a safer distance, where the ground is not so lose that one side of the truck can sink in.
