Outside of gameplay, are there any specific topics related to the channel or EDH / cEDH that you would be interested in listening to us discuss? As the season comes to a close we're looking into trying out a podcast-style video before the start of Season 2 and would love to know what you guys would be interested in hearing us talk about!

I would be interested in hearing you guys discuss an EDH or possibly cEDH-only banlist. Myself and others in my playgroup find a lot of the cards on the commander banlist to be unworthy and probably wouldn't hurt the game to be unbanned. Great content as always!

While we don't like showcasing large misplays, we also see the value is showing and explaining the misplays for the sake of both learning ourselves and showing others some maybe not common interactions. The only super strict rule we have internally is that if the misplay drastically affects gameplay we will most likely pull the game, but other than that we are okay with keeping things a bit more 'realistic.' We are still working on a way to possibly incorporate a judge, but until then those are our general guidelines internally

I dont mind an occasional misplay. especially not if you guys catch it and not the´comment section. ^^ With so many players and cards involved its a normal thing that happens all the time on probably every Commander table. So you guys finding them and pointing them out is a great way.
Cindervine MVP jesus that's a lot of damage
That combo.... How are people so smart? This is great content. I love owning up to misplays. Thanks for the game!
The competitive meter is kinda hard to extract information from since most of the decks are like 80%, 90% on it. I would suggest a number out of 10 at the end so that we know where the deck lies. Also one number or meter doesn't always tell the whole story so I would love some more meters rating the deck on metrics such as the amount of interaction, combo/win speed or value options it has.
Probably my new favorite edh youtube channel, keep em coming guys.

Your videos are fantastic y’all And I really appreciate you owning up to your mistakes And explaining the combos and how you give us the graphics of the stack Really enjoy your content and am looking forward to more videos :D
Thank you, thank you for playing K'rrik ! I love this commander and there is not enough content/game play with him.
Just found your channel. Loving these videos. Easy to follow and I really enjoy the quick deck explanation before the match so I can learn new decks. Keep up the great work
Everytime I see an Inalla deck played, it's always different but always looks like so much fun! Great video!

The grasp of fate information was new to me. I had to look it up and now I’ll have to explain it to my group. Also enjoyed the misplay explanation. Great to help better inform us less competitive players! Keep it up!
Bill's playmat is DOPE!!!! That's some serious nostalgia right there! And the game was superb, btw :-P
It's so interesting to a new player like me to see massive combos. Thanks for the great content.
I really appreciate showing how many cards each player has in their hand. It really makes a big difference to interpreting the plays made and frankly I don't know why so few EDH channels do this.
That combo is y i love this format. People deciding I want to see how far this one thing can go and pushing it beyond any expected limit is amazing.

Geez what a loop. 12 page essay is an understatement lol
Love the videos! I have learned so much from this channel. I have never played an interaction like grasp of fate in our playgroup. Could someone explain that a bit more and other cards that work that way?
That Inalla combo was really cool. At first I thought thats its A LOT of dead cards involved. But I guess if you can use the sac Rituals and the Reanimation spells effectively before the combo turn then its potentially a great package.
Im a simple man. I sees a notification from Casually Competitive, I clicks like

I had to pause the video there to look up the specific rules as well. Anything that doesn't say to return the exiled card (like o-ring does), works this way, where you can bring it from the CZ. Won't work if it's moved from the CZ afterwards tho, because then it's a new game object

Interesting take on Krrick I personally like the life gain version with infinite’s but this was near to watch. -Jack N
I think cindervines is always good just because it's also interaction at the minimum. It's also not something someone counters early so if you drop it it's a near uncounterable removal spell while putting some solid damage along the way. I've always liked little threat cards like this or using mystical tutor for a force of will because then people KNOW its there and might just not play their stuff out of fear. Had that dampining sphere gone off this might of been a very different game.
Chain of Vapor, the bounced permanents controller can sac a land, not chain of vapors caster. Love the content just wanted to point out :)
Why didn't Bill have to discard down to 7 in each of his end-steps after the Necropotence trigger? Did he have an effect on the battlefield that gave him unlimited hand-size? Love the content guys, this channel single-handedly got me into cEDH. Keep up the great work!

@@RobMedellin huh, I just checked, and it changes depending on the version of the card. The old version says that it is during the upkeep, while the new one (from Ultimate Masters) does it during the draw step. I've never noticed this detail before. So interesting!
I had a question about the interaction with grasp of fate and exiling a commander with it. How does that rules interaction work so that u can still get your commander back if grasp of fate leaves the battle field.
As a bit of feedback, I would love it if, whenever someone has to discard a few cards, you were to maybe show which cards where discarded, maybe with a small icon next to their graveyard? I know it's extra work, especially if someone dumps like 13 cards because they drew twenty plus cards with a Necropotence, but it would greatly enhance the viewing pleasure! You don't have to narrate those cards either, but you could if there were any super important / relevant cards discarded.

I think the card in the middle should be larger so it's easier to read, but that's just a personal preference. Everything else was cool to watch.
Don’t know if since at it was instant speed so it didn’t do anything but wouldn’t damping sphere effect the combo?

Yes. Which is why it wasn't on the battlefield.
That Mindblade Render seemed like an odd inclusion in Bill's deck. Any particular reason for it?
I see everyone asking about the mana vault trigger. But at 17:17 Nate puts Necro cards to hand and doesn’t discard down to hand size? I know it didn’t seem to affect the game but I’m pretty sure that’s how Necropotence works right? The cards in hand counter says he has 8 when passing the turn

After watching the video and hearing you say that when a mistake affects the outcome of the game you might not publish the video I have this to say, you should publish the video and just make it clear in the title that there was a misplay. Because maybe it did affect the game but we might also make these mistakes so it's a great way to learn from them.

There’s a spike feeders video from a while ago featuring Tatyova and an egregious misreading of “Horn of Greed”. I think that’s more of the type of situation where the video should’ve alluded to it in the title. However, I personally feel like it’s relatively easy to use hindsight to judge wether or not something ended up affecting the outcome.

I've always found the interaction between commanders and effects like grasp of fate to be counterintuitive rules wise. If you return your commander to the command zone and the grasp of fate is removed it returns to play. I presume, but would like to know for sure, that would not be the case if you put the commander in the command zone from grasp of fate recast it and then put it in the command zone from a non-grasp of fate effect and then grasp of fate was removed
@blinky101
4 жыл бұрын
that is correct, it would be seen by the game as a different object. Same reason that flickering a creature with epheramate and the like counters removal pointed at that creature
wow, today I realized that you're playing with proxies since the lake of dead is the MTGO version... All this time I was thinking that you guys are rich AF lol
nate doesn't seem to take damage from his mana vault for several turns
Ruric thar is secretly great
Im curious, why did Bill's combo work if Joseph had a damping sphere out? wouldnt Bill have run out of mana because of it?
Maybe i am a little bit late, but isn't there a dampening sphere on the side of ruric thar? casting those spells would be impossible.
I'm an inalla player too, just curious about the reason to play infinite token combo with more than five cards involved.
@TheRealLap
4 жыл бұрын
It isn't, at least 3 of them got tutored up by Spellseeker which is part of the combo in the first place, this line costs less mana than prophet's dance and hence should be included. It also enables Razaketh line which is another line that's cheaper than prophet. Given that reanimation package is already there, I think it's a very good fit.
I’d enjoy another urza build as one of the options???
How was the Inalla player able to cast his combo with the Damping Sphere on board?
Grasp of Fate being destroyed returns the Commander even when it's not in exile? Didn't know that, the same should work for Banishing Light/Banisher Priest since they're worded in the same way, what about Oblivion Ring/Fiend Hunter?
@CasuallyCompetitiveMTG
4 жыл бұрын
Cards like Oblivion Ring will not work if you put your commander back into the command zone since it specific says 'Return the exiled card...' and after replacing the removal effect it is no longer exiled. If it doesn't specify that the exiled card returns or that the card has to return from exile then the replacement effect shouldn't stop the re-entering
K'rrick missed a manavault burn trigger after the abolisher cast, vault was underneath darksteel for this turn until untap and moving straight to combat. Idk but it seems kinda strange, so close to lethal
