Thank you so much for the content you put out. I teach English part-time and whenever I'm having trouble explaining grammar points to students, I just send them here. You have a way of simplifying things. Thank you, Lucy.
The language on this channel is thought provoking. Lucy shows different ways to communicate different messages. Close attention to differences, specifics, dual meanings,misconceptions...leads to a wonderful way of communication.
Thank you @English with Lucy for the hints! General , quite general and specific could be a good starting point! When I explain prepositions of place to my students I also refer to dimensions: AT is 1D, point/destination on map, location on GPS, ON - 2D perspective(table, bus, train ...) and IN as 3D, like buildings, large areas. :)
This is the best lecture I have ever learned about the prepositions Good job Lucy 👍 Thank you 🙏
This is the most useful video about in/on/at that I've ever seen. You explained them so clearly that I can fully understand the difference among them. I would save it so that I could check it out every now and then. Thank you very much Lucy!
Thank you for providing as educational videos especially on the basic part of English grammar. Several people struggling of understanding the complexity of the language and you teach us with a style that we can easily understand.
Thanks Lucy ! I know and use all that since...so many years. But without thinking why it's like that. 😀 It's always good to know the real reasons why we use a word or another.
Fun fact: I’ve learnt more from Lucy than my actual English teacher 😂😭

Amazing. Struggles a lot of years with this rules. This video is perfect to have a clear understanding on how to apply the rules.
Thank you teacher, Miss. Lucy. This lesson taught me a lot about using the preposition "in" in enclose spaces.
I think the difference between “in a taxi” and “on the bus” is actually physical and historical. The first busses and trams were higher platform based. So you actually had to “hop on” or “get on top” of that platform. The same for the planes. You have to walk up on the board of the plane. Hence I am on the bus. You can still use “in the plane” or “in the bus” but it will have a different meaning. His wallet was found in the bus - you are referring to the inside part of the bus. Her purse was laying on the bus (roof).

As a native English speaker, the use of these prepositions is intuitive. However, I find it fascinating to learn there are basic rules to their use. It's also humbling to think of someone else learning english and managing all these subtleties. You english learners ROCK!
Merci les explications sont très claires
Well explained with a lot of joy and a lovely smile. Thanks a lot.

Lucy can you please explain why these don't use the same preposition? "I'm in band class." "I'm at band practice."
Thank Lucy it s so useful
