You probably already know this by now, but just in case... RDS stands for Radio Data System. It shows the name of the song playing on the radio or the name of the radio station located on the digital display. Nice STS by the way! '03 was the last year of the STS, '04 was the SLS & '05 it was restyled & only called the STS without the Seville. Take care.

That car is beautiful! I live in Ohio too, and I'm buying a 2003 Seville sts from Florida with 50,000 miles for only 5 grand, I can't wait to pick it up

+Kevin95866 Wow that sounds nice!! I live in Florida and there are tons of beautiful older Cadillac's down here that are still driven by many people. I just bought a 2000 STS recently and I am so in love with it!! It is a blast to drive and I'm very overly satisfied with mine. I hope your the same way.

Just purchased the "03" STS and brother, I love it and proud to say my 2nd Cadillac car as I owned the 1997 ElDorado for 12 years (Over 146K miles) until a driver under the influence crashed into several cars in the parking lot including my ELDO which was a total loss. It sucks, but the STS is to me a perfect replacement. As long you take care of it by going annually for car inspection/repairs, it will last you for a long time. Love your vid sir.

and the final comment: rds is the radio data display. it shows you song titles, the performer, and various station i.d.'s and the ta is probably for traffic. it will take you to a radio station that is having traffic info broadcasted. but the rds only works for stations that brodcast with rds. it became avaliable in most gm cars around 2003 or so, but not on more basic radios.

Well....either way, it doesn't matter, because the car is long gone; I've had 2 more cars since this Caddie! Currently I'm driving a 2000 Avalon and just love it!!!

oh, on the left side of the instrument panel: the round know may be your gage intensity for brightness and that little ported square is probably a sensor for the automatic climate control for the drivers side.
@videoholicreturns11 жыл бұрын
It had one major repair that would have cost $4000 - some sensor on the suspension system was out on both sides, and it would have cost 2 grand each to get it fixed!

To bad with your luck on the SLS. It is a really good car, like i mention before i got a Cadillac Seville STS. Before my Cadillac (that i got it almost a year) i have driven een Mercedes benz W140 S500 from 1994. So many features, in that car. Heated seats, 12 B&O boxes, actually everything you can imagine the car has it. But the driving was smooth as well, like it should be. Though, Cadillac are more softer to ride with, and better. so my advice buy a new Cadillac but than the STS version.

Do you think 180 miles is too much for a new car?
@jacque88310 жыл бұрын
Good video!! I had the exact same car for 11 years and I bought it brand new! Do you think that maybe the car had a lot of problems because it had over 74,000 miles on it? Seems like a lot of miles, don't you think? I hope you got a good deal on it. Great job!!

+jacque883 You think that's a lot of miles???? A friend of mine still drives a 2001 STS with over 250k on it with barely any engine work done at all with basic maintenance necessary. My parents still drive there 95 Seville with over 330k and still running strong to this day.

I actually wound up keeping this car only 9 weeks! It developed some problems that required EXPENSIVE repairs, plus the gas mileage was killing me, so I traded it for a low-mileage Buick!!

on the vid on 4.58 you don't know what that button does.. i think you know it already becouse the vid is from 2011. its to set your interior light higer of lower. Myself got a Cadillac seville STS from 2002, with basicly the same things as you got, but i got a touch screen to select navigation, and to set my bose radio etc.

You can find struts minus the sensor for $250-$300 witch is all you need I have done it with the last 2 I bought no need to spend that kind of money when the cars is only worth that.
