From the Classic Movie Docs Library - Sir Ben Kingsley doesn't so much immerse himself in his roles as disappear into them entirely. Starring in Richard Attenborough's Gandhi, he stunned the world with his Oscar-winning portrayal of the Indian spiritual leader. In Schindler's List, he embodied the emotional core of Steven Spielberg's film, as the accountant Itzhak Stern.

I still get chills when I think of him as Don Logan in 'Sexy Beast". Can still hear him saying 'Preparation. Preparation. Preparation' like a machine gun.

Most of us have met a Don Logan. He's very real and really scary. Best screen villain ever for my money. 👌

Enjoy his performances, but he’s so tiresomely affected in real life. It’s playing dress up for a living, bloke, not neurosurgery.
