I'm so proud to be a Christian. This is such a beautiful hymn, I'll be playing this at my funeral. Great cover gave me goosebumps listening to this.

I am Baptist, and cannot stop listening to these lads. These guys have so many messages through their music that I will never hesitate to teach. I want to know when all of the modern protestant religions can come together and find any common ground to agree upon, and work from there. No instantaneous change is needed, but rather a starting point so that all believers can come to a conclusion that will benefit all of us even if we have slightly different understandings in the end. When will we all start listening to each other and make things better for all of us?

​@@ecec4642It is the wrath of God against sin that is offensive. It is SO offensive that the vast majority of "Christians" create theologies to negate this reality. It is our NEED for a Savior from the Wrath to come that makes us cling to / believe in Jesus and His shed blood. Most of Christianity presents Jesus the same as Mormons do - to be told they are OK. The Gospel is not that YOU become OK, but that one must BE Believing in Jesus as the only way to be saved. People so hate the tension of being a sinner that needs saving from the Wrath of God that we want the solution to be final for US and do not want to be told that the only way we Are saved and WILL BE saved is by continuing to place our Faith in the perfect blood of Jesus. This nuance is rejected by 99.99% of Christians just the same as Mormons reject it and when I realized this after studying Mormonism, it shocked me and still does.

I have never been the go to church every Sunday kind of person. But that doesn't mean I don't have a relationship with God. I feel closer to him by getting up before sunrise and hiking up a mountain and sitting on a rock ledge watching the sun come up over the mountains and just basking in all the beauty he has created. That's where I always go when I need to talk to him. There is just something about being out there that makes me feel better. I guess its hard to explain if you have never experienced it, but for those of you that have you know what I'm talking about.

Looking for the mote in our eyes, don't you think? We absolutely believe it is only through Christ we are saved, including through the great atonement he made in the garden. As James pointed out we believe that we need to do our part to qualify for that mercy and grace. "Faith without works is dead." I hope that the evangelicals who deny responsibility for their own salvation can come to know and believe they need to work out their own salvation with fear and trembling, as the bible says.

@@michaelbarton1206 This "qualifying ' for mercy and grace is exactly what I'm referring to. Salvation is a free gift. We can't get our life in order in order to be good enough for God to save us. Our good works are "as filthy rags. We are dead in our sins. He gives us new life so that we have the power to live a life for God. He indwells us with the Holy Spirit to convict of sin and comfort us with the presence of God. Never in an Evan. church have I heard that we can "become Christians" and then go live like heck cause salvation is free. Once saved we do work out what that means for our life. "For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that One died for all, therefore all died. 15And He died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died for them and was raised again. " (2 Cortinthians 5:14) A true conversion, encounter with Christ will change ones life to desire to live for God and grow in his grace as a Child of God. In Christ we are a new creation.
