"belt at soprano range" isn't a valid statement. While the difficulty you're speaking of, it isn't anywhere near a soprano range. The note at 2:52 is closer but in choral music as a genre, it's typical tenor stuff.

Some christians take worldly beats and overlay Christian lyrics and call that worship. It may be entertainment but not fit for such God as mine. I know they mean well but Cain's worship was rejected

@@renarich4942 you say that as if you know that God wouldn't accept their worship. Cain was told not to worship how he did. However, you can't make the claim that they aren't honoring God with whatever music they choose to use. To say that beats are "worldly" is in my opinion something you can not and would never be able to support as being biblical. I would encourage you to step off your highhorse and consider that God is a lot larger than you or what you consider "yours". He is worshipped by all and the worship of him isn't dictated by what you think (thank you God).

I’m racking up the numbers also. I made a playlist of mostly-choral music for my grandson which includes this (and some Welsh singers). His siblings get to listen now also, they all calm to great harmonies (which makes me ridiculously happy!). This is one of the ones they always slow down and listen to.

My condolences. While hope is a necessity, you can know beyond a shadow of a doubt! The bible says in Romans 10:10 "For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

Interesting! Christianity is the act of following Christ's teachings. We believe he was the Son of God and that he died and rose again for us. Christianity offers forgiveness for all, although we have rebelled against God, so that we can be in a relationship with him. Jesus taught to love all, be pacifistic (a lot like you) and to glorify God in all that we do.

I sang this song in an large Catholic church two days after my Grandmother died. I was close to her. This song brings back a cry in my heart that I had when I went through that difficult time.

Beautiful hymn that touches the soul. I believe this is what you hear when you return to God's kingdom. A hymn of victory. A hymn of glory.

I'm not even a little bit religious, but this is beautiful. The arrangement with the Latin in the background was lovely.

my faith has been going seriously downhill, my depression is getting worse telling me I'm worthless and not wanted anywhere even in church, I've never been one to listen to Christian songs, yet for the past hour I've felt a pull to look for these types of songs and have no idea why, it honestly feels like God telling me, I love you, come back to me, I haven't been to church in over 3 months, I've been having health problems and my own family wants nothing to do with me due to my disability, my back is going to heck, hurts to walk, but I'm going to go to church for the 1st time in almost 4 months this coming Sunday, whether I hurt or not, the pull I'm feeling is too strong to ignore.... I NEEDED to hear this song!! beautiful singing....a song that "spoke" to me..... IDK if any of you will understand this.... it's a pull back to church I'm feeling

There is a passage in the bible that says that one day, there will be a choir singing in the skies. I always imagined it so great and beautiful. I grew up in a Baptists church so this song was played a lot. I was one of those people that only went to church because that's what a good southern girl does, but I never really believed in the whole God thing, but now that I've gotten older and have experienced life without church and God; I've realized that I needed him in my life. This was the song that was on the radio when I did finally giving my life to God. This song saved my life and I thank God everyday for it.

With some of the comments that I read here, this song has positively affected a lot of people. Psalm 96: 2 " Sing to the LORD, praise HIS name. Proclaim HIS salvation, day after day". Sometimes when someone gives their life to GOD, the devil tries to throw negatives situations toward them to discourage them. Remember, there is an Angel by your side and GOD will never leave, nor forsake you. Stand proud and strong as you walk with the LORD.

I have lead the funeral for my Parents, a Mother and Father in law, a beloved brother in law, and soon 🙏 my brothers...it is this that brings me nearer to God.

This is a beautiful hymn, played on deck as Titanic was sinking.

the main singer has AMAZING breath control. wow. from 2:25 to 2:41 he did not take a single breath, and he still made it sound flawless. this is actually really beautiful.

Became interested in playing my cello again after many years. Also at the same time we finally found a church we like. Was looking for hymns to transpose and this one popped up. Couldn’t remember where I’d heard it and it slammed me the next morning. Needless to say my house got a 6am blasting of this from my bathroom as I listened to it in the shower. lol ❤ absolutely adore this piece and arrangement. I get chills and goosebumps every time I hear it. It uplifts and warms my soul every time. Thank you for this beautiful piece.

While I personally havent found any god yet. Can I appreciate the art that are made in there name.

What the human voice can actually do. The most powerful musical instruments. I'm a 100% atheist, but this piece of art actually melts my heart. Really sublime. Bravi! Greetings from Italy.

@@Bobjk56 Hi! I am a Catholic but I think we shouldn't force our beliefs down everyone's throats. I believe in a God that doesn't have prejudice against those who do not believe in Him. My concept of the Biblical God is one that would fully-accept a decent human being, regardless of his or her or their religious beliefs. I was raised by Jesuits who are, by standards, a much more progressive denomination in the Catholic Church. They thought me how to embrace progressivism, to embrace beliefs that were once considered taboo by the Catholic Church. That includes fully-accepting atheists who may not believe in any higher Supreme Being, but are generally kindhearted people who did their best to help others. I would rather hang out with them over bigoted Christians who may be overly religious but also do not practice what they preach.

That's the difference with Jesus, Jan. Our works can not get us into heaven. In God's sight our own works apart from Him are as filthy rags. This is why we need a personal relationship with God, to repent of anything He calls sin and accept His gift on the cross of forgiveness and eternal life. No one that believes and trusts in Jesus will ever see death. John 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” Romans 5:8 “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 10:9 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” He is the truth, there is no other way. Please pray to God with all your heart and ask Him to reveal His truth to you. God bless you in Jesus name.

Just wanna share an experience that I would never forget when I was still a university student. I would go to the church every Sunday for a morning mass and after the priest's sermon it was time for a hymn and everybody would stand up. And right when the choir started singing, I heard an unfamiliar harp music that I was practically looking back and front to find its source and it's indescribable, so out of the world sound of harp playing as if thete was a choir of invisible angels singing along. My hair was all standing as I listened to it intently. I tried searching for a similar harp sound in youtube afterwards and a few weeks in but nothing ever sounded like it. I'd like to believe that they came down from heaven just to say hi :)

@Nebula Jesus knows what He does. If He left you without the answer it means there is a reason for that. The most usually reason is that there is missing our decision of forgiveness for those who have hurt us. It's worth to say: "In the name of Jesus I'm forgiving every person who has hurt me. Amen." 😊 Without this decision the things won't change - you will not listen the Jesus... Lack of forgiveness to others is really powerful barrier separating us from God. We are during the Lent time. It's good time to forgive others and convert ourselves. 😊
