I prefer a cake with minimal frosting , as I enjoy the cake more than the sweet additions - toppings that are in modern cakes. This is definitely a cake type that is more to my liking. Innovative, basic ingredients, that becomes a work of art in its visual beauty and appeal. And I am sure it tastes as wonderful as it looks! (Imagine the time spent hand beating to bring it to the right consistency back then).

Этот торт был в детстве у бабушки, правда, с вишней, черника у нас не растет, или с малиной. Назывался он не торт, а пляцек, когда режешь, узор на срезе, а сверху не украшают. Ну, крошка, или вот пудра. Давненько уже находила рецепт в интернете среди польских блюд.

Думаю можна випікати і з полуницею, чи яблуками.. абрикосами.. сливами.. вишнями.. Дякую за гарний рецепт♥️🍀

Galera fiz é bom de mais parecido com pão de lo mais o saber e delicioso e coloquei gotas de chocolate no lugar das frutas.🎉

Beautiful cake. We don't see the typical 9 x 13" cakes anymore with that kind of rise. The crumb looked like a pound cake - rich and dense. but I am sure that using oil over butter kept it light and moist. The pockets of blueberries were a nice surprise as you couldn't really notice them after baking. Well done, thank you for sharing with us.

Hello from Canada 🇨🇦☺️! I just love your videos and everything always looks soooo tasty. I don’t know why I love so much that you always take two bites out of your wonderful baking but I do. It makes me think that you really like what you’ve made. Lol. Everyone else seems to take a small bite of what they’ve made, like they’re on a diet and couldn’t possibly eat any more, instead of baking a beautiful cake made with real, fresh ingredients and enjoying it with the rest of your family. Very usual compounded cake - like two cakes in one. I love the way the fruit layer slowly melds down into middle of the cake. That is one fluffy dish. Thank you for sharing another great technique. 🙌🏽

This looks VERY similar to the rhubarb cake my Oma used to make, except with hers, I remember her putting the rhubarb on top of the batter and then pouring the Guss on top. The rhubarb would float up during baking and it would make a lovely three-level cake, with fruit on top, something like a cross between custard and cheesecake in the middle, and cake on the bottom. And it started with cottage cheese. (I'm still trying to find that recipe....)

There is so much beauty in true baking and I love to watch and learn from it. All those silly "recipes" where no one measures anything and throws random things together with no rhyme or reason makes me sad. Baking is chemistry and without that knowledge it goes to pot.

В этом рецепте есть о чем задуматься. ,, меня терзают смутные сомнения, по поводу 200 гр масла растительного ( очень много) и к тому же, если рецепт такой старинный, то тогда не было масла без запаха и его не добавляли в бисквитное тесто, а маленькой ложечке соды попросту не с чем реагировать в этом тесте, кислоты нет ведь никакой, тесто не поднимется и вкус будет содовый, автор явно лукавит и не показывает нам весь рецепт!

This cake is very close to what my German aunt showed me how to make. Unfortunately, she showed me with box cake mix. Also with sourcream in place of the cottage cheese. I think I'm going to try it with ricotta cheese. Thank you for showing me the old recipe.

En mi país 🇦🇷 cada tanto hay alguien que lo hace. Es riquísimo comerlo con cubiertos🍴pues salen esponjosos y bien altos. Trataré de hacerlo algún día. En las panaderías de algunas ciudades los hacen en bandejas más grande y los venden por kilo.
