@@The_Reality_Filter Tibet is as fine as can be, you must mean South Tibet (Arunachal Pradesh, and under Indian occupation) neglected, discriminated and impoverished, similar to the other North Eastern states where this year alone, several hundred fatalities due to what the Modi government dismiss as communal skirmishes. @@The_Reality_Filter No, it was invaded by the British in 1905 as part of the British East India Company's expansion plans, and subsequently prosecuting China for the cost of the invasion, and in 1913 the British annexed the southern region of Tibet as part of their divide and rule strategy when China refused the Simla Convention, a ruse to legitimise Tibet as a separate nation state. After Mao came to power in 1949, and especially after the Korean war in 1953, the US took over where the British left off, and infiltrated Tibet from India, laying the grounds for secessionist movements that eventually led to the Dalai Lamas departure. And today, the southern region is still under Indian occupation.
