I don't care whether there's any political motive behind this. What I saw was an utter disrespect to people paying so much to watch him play in an exhibition game. If he couldn't even crack a smile, then don't bother showing up. And for those questioning why fans (not just chinese fans) "adore" these celebrities, it's the same everywhere. People paid way more than HK$4000 to watch him play in those meaningless late-season MLS games too. But at least he didn't appear in such despicable way.

I am Chinese and I am not a Messi fan, so no hurt made on me personally. -;) I believe the best development next step would be parted ways for China and Messi. Never ever will this bloke be allowed to set his foot on soil of China. Period.
