When i visit China this will be the first city I visit. Very cool and unique place.

Ahhh....Hangzhou (HZ), my favourite place in China. In fact (as I would always tell my friends) if given a choice, Hangzhou (HZ) would be one of my top 3 choices to live in China. The second would be Kunming & third, Qingdao. But recently I have added Chengdu as my fourth. I had been HZ thrice. The last time was several years ago when I was working very briefly for a Taiwanese owned company operating in Yuhang district. I always remember my Taiwanese bosses & their favourite hobbies.....after lunch, went for foot massage or mahjong session. Then after dinner, karaoke, girls + heavy drinking. At least thrice a week. After joining them & our clients several times, I kept finding excuses not to join them. Coz it's a waste of money. During my off days, I loved to go to Xihu (West Lake) to relax. It's nice but crowded. To the people of HZ & China....Xīnnián kuàilè!!

If you have chance, you can try Xianghu in Xiaoshan District, there is more quiet and also beautiful and culture. Several theme parks in Hangzhou are also nearby, such as Ocean Park, Children's Park, Water Park, etc., which are very suitable for family vacations.

Xiaoshan district? At that time (can't remember exactly when...maybe 2001 or 2002), my local friend had bought a property there for over a million yuan. He kept recommending me to buy. I even went there with him to view the place. Quite nice but I didn't buy it in the end. A pity.

Hangzhou is booming, the streets are clean, bustling with people who looked happy and prosperous. So much for the lies of the western media about China’s economic collapse. The IMF has upgraded its predictions for China’s economy to almost 6% p.a. which is much higher than the west. China is safe, prosperous and technologically advanced.

Good to see you made it to Hangzhou 👍 That’s my second home every year when I go back to my wife family & friends. Love it when I arrive back to Hangzhou so much to do and see. Plus very clean city too.

The reason why MSM is doing a negative sell on China's economy is that, about ten trillions dollars of US sovereign debt is due for re-financing at higher interest rates in 2024. This calls for chasing hot money, money that is not invested in machinery, infrastructure, stuff like that back to America. Europe has already received the hammer pounding and USA cannot get more blood from that stone. It is not enough to pound just Europe even though they like to be crapped on and squeezed. Israel could well go bankrupt if the war there does not end soon and that is an additional money pit for America. 2024 is going to be really interesting to watch.

It isn’t. It’s a quasi first tier city. Which means it has the potential to become a tier one city in the future.

I must say ole chap, I haven't heard so much creeping drivel for a long time, yes you have scored a 7.8 for the amount of good things to say over again in order to keep the Government from kicking you out, seriously man, by the time you got half way through I was feeling nauseous from the smell of bum kissing you were doing. but hey if you can live with yourself, then good on you sir.

It is incredibly naive. Everyone in China knows the economy is in poor shape. Some places worse than others, but overall there are big problems that could get much worse. I’m sure the government knows this all too well. Unfortunately China is facing major short and long term issues that are going to be very challenging. Pretending it’s all some western media conspiracy is literally stupid.
