Importance of Open-Ended Questions

In this week’s episode, psychotherapist Margaret McGahon expands on the importance of open-ended questions.
"Almost everyone struggles with asking open-ended questions within conversations. It's even more important to practice asking these forms of questions in reminiscent work," McGahon says. With open-ended questions, "We invited the person speaking to explore their own inner world while we listen," McGahon says, "It's important that we create space for them to tell us about themselves without us doing it for them."
