It's so sick when you aggressive skate non-aggressive skates. I wanna try.
Thanks for the spot on review mate.. and brilliant throwback kit ! Bit of inside knowledge (I helped develop these for Impala).. they're indeed a mix inspired by my first skate (Lighting/TRS) and favorite all-time skate (Razors Cult.. actually John Elliott pro model, but very similar). The idea, much like the brand ethos for Impala, is to be all inclusive and get people outdoors having fun. There's plenty of fantastic aggressive skates out there, but what we saw missing was a fun entry level inline skate that doesn't look weird or overly tech.. which as you pointed out clearly brought us back to the 90s. A time when everyone was getting on inlines. The wheels are soft, for sure. And 70mm instead of a larger wheel, which the frame would support if you choose to switch out. They're meant more for first-timers in spec, and in price point. That being said, we've up-spec'd the quality/durometer of our urethane going forward. Glad you had fun on 'em.. that's what it's all about isn't it !? Cheers

Would a harder wheel help with speed? Also saw a review that the agility isn't as good - is there a similar skate with better agility?

You are badass on inlines.. most people use quads and I wanted to go along with the aesthetic but honestly I grew up on inlines and I’m just feeling like it’s gonna be more natural for me to skate on these .. lowkey wanna get both tho

@@Five-uy6xn I actually recommend starting quad unless you figure skate. I figure skate, so the inlines were much easier for me but in all of my friends experience quads are much easier to start on just to get used to the balance.

@@leenicole1878 I disagree. Rollerblades are better to me because they don't require as much adjusting as quads. Also I learned how to rollerblade first which helped me when started ice skating. It was an easy transition. But I found quads challenging at first. I prefer rollerblades.
Oh yeah those wheels turning to mush is definitely 90s urethane FR skate style lol

Well. They went fast with me.. ahaha. But I guess with a beginner they would be fine... justbnot ready for the Portuguese AJ
I know these aren't a favorite in the community, but they're directly responsible for at least one subscriber of yours! My partner picked up a pair for herself and that got me pumped to get back on some inlines. I ended up getting some K2 Mod 125s and now some Powerslide Next Navy should be on their way. Been skating and watching your videos every day since her pink Impalas arrived. Thanks for the content, it's great!
This looks so fun 😁😁 I've always wondered if you could change the wheels on the Impala Inlines! Could you provide a tutorial on how to do it?

Your opening kept me smiling from ear to ear and wished I was skating rn.
i bought myself some impala inline skates after falling in love with aggressive inline skating, but since i was a complete beginner i started to worry that i had trapped myself by buying non-aggressive skates as my first buy. this video showed me a whole side to what these skates can do!
Rocking intro, Lino! Your review was honest, inline journalist style. I'm curious on how you can approach inline producers, if you need to have the right connections and if there are certain requirements one needs before getting a career in this field. I'm really driven to bring the world of inline to Romania, a very untapped market. I'm making a nice career in IT, but I've always had a calling for rollerblading. Thank you for your valuable insight and your passion for skates!
So a basic model for beginners! Depending on the price, anything that invites more people to skate is good.
@RicardoLino

I agree with being good to bring more people into skating.. they cost 129. And that was about the same price as I paid for my roces street in 94...
i had to like just for the intro, you did not have to go that hard that quickly up in our faces like that but you gave it to us, i definitely want to reach that skill level
Immediate thumbs up for the intro mate! Impala should send you more skates for intro like this :)

This edit is freaking amazing I love the energy
first skates I had were Solomons as a teenager and tried aggressive and loved it but didnt ever really master it, 10 years later I moved to north miami/Hollywood beach and the broadwalk by the beach is awesome so I just hopped online to get some skates that I liked and that thought would suit my purposes and budget, 130 bucks, not looking to try many tricks, just to gain familiarity with my new city and get some exercise during lockdown so I'm hoping they dont disappoint when they arrive, glad I stumbled across this video, thanks man!
Had watched a couple videos, liked what I saw, hit the subscribe button. Next video that pops up: This one. My thoughts: Well, I'm glad I hit that subscribe button. Nice moves🤘🤘🤘
great honest review thank you!

I'm actually thinking about purchasing these skates just for nostalgic purposes, my first pair of proper skates were also same shape and colour. My first skates were the fisher price adjustable skates lol. Great content thanks for sharing.

These skates look SO rad! I wonder if impala is going to come out with aggressive skates?
if the rivets ever break just buy a couple M3 Screws, i had to jimmyrig a broken 45 degree strap with 2 pieces of sheet metal i hammered and cut around the strap loops on my old Cooper Chargers, all i can say is it worked o.o` might not look pretty but its held up for months and i really cant feel any difference on my foot when i tighten em up other then the 45 degree strap seems to be more secure now when i tighten it up
i have a pair of vintage rollerblade lightning boots look very similar ever the neon yellow

Of course they look like the TRS, but in reality they are exactly the same as the Rollerblade Lightning, even in the rockering frame configuration system.
Casi iguales a los primeros patines que me prestaron para aprender.
you mean it is the usd prototype skate that made razors cult shell and for roces m12 they ask for the cds detroid piggy back plates

Hey lino... did u remember an aussie skater by the name of caesar mora? He used to be sponsored by Roces and his weapon of choice were called Roces Impala. Basically an m12 shell with aluminium frames. He was da king of vert in his days. Hehe... keep skating bro. From a 40yr old aggresive skater
Lino, I´m Brazilian and need to ask you something without confusion. So, may I "talk in portuguese? Let´s go: Lino, eu tenho 37 anos e anodo desde os 15, mas na última decada, eu precisei parar em função do trabalho, vida adulta, etc. Agora "crescido", consegui comprar um Lowrider, que foi o patins (inline skate) mais bonito que eu tive na juventude. Acontece que ele quebrou na bota, de modo irreparável, sobrando inteiro o frame de metal, rodas, rolamentos etc. Enfim, a questão.. Atualmente há alguma bota de algum patins atual da roces que "encaixe" o frame de metal do lowrider? Obrigado pela atenção, gostei muito do seu material aqui no canal!

I understand your way of thinking. But I believe their onto something that it's good.. by bringing skating to a different type of people. Its important in my opinion.. could it have better wheels? Yes. But for this price as a beginner skate it's worth it.. and yes.. SUPER NOSTALGIC 😉
90s garbage for hipsters, not skaters.
