Mine started with one line, and it just covered almost the whole screen in a month.

This is a common problem with early to mid 2006 iMacs. A new screen will cost a couple hundred dollars so it's not really worth it IMO. I bought one last year from eBay for only $250 because it had one vertical line across the screen. I bought a mini DVI to HDMI adaptor for $6 and plugged it into my 46" tv. It looks great. You can even make the external screen the main display and you can set the resolution to 1920x1080 (HD).

Guys, you may check my channel's video "How to fix vertical lines on iMac". The problem lays in the display. The replacement of one will solve it. If your iMac in a list of compatibility of UniMac V4, you may go with buying of this adapter, which connects inside of iMac between display plug and data connector. Good luck!

i just bought one for $175 with and it has 3 lines, but it doesnt really bother me!

if theyre vertical then you have to replace the lcd,but theyre generally hard to find,so instead u should check out the site realmacmods-com

Bad LCD panel. Apple replaced it as an exception
