Late 2000s OS X had such a strong aesthetic, I love it. I mean, I also hate it just as much after using it on a hopelessly obsolete 32 bit iMac with a half wrecked screen and a busted HP mouse for a few months. The UI and the "this app can't run on your Mac" amplify the awfulness even more.

I have a Mac collection and one of them is an early 2009 iMac 20 inch and I love seeing that leopard/snow leopard intro video whenever I reinstall the os

this is why i like iMacs

flashing in old Mac OS X versions (earlier than 10.9) indicates that the system is checking and validating any additional downloaded ram gb

This is why i want old imacs

Apple has pretty much always done iterative upgrades for their computers though, you'd only really see major changes upon new generations which took a few years. People used to make fun of them for most year over year upgrades being spec bumps lol
