Hi Trevor, thank you for the demonstration and your honesty. These ILVE ranges look beautiful. Wanted to share with you that my wife bakes banana bread and muffins. The small oven might work well for that since the pans are smaller. Also for people who do not BBQ much cooking a chicken on the rotisserie in the small oven frees up room for other things in the larger oven. Best wishes, Douglas

My in laws have one of these like that one. The funny part is they don’t cook much and that is way to much for them to manage for most big meals. Key point was last thanksgiving them trying to figure out how to get everything in the ovens with a 22lb bird. Told them last year that need trays or get disposable ones that fit in the smaller side. The range looks beautiful but you need to read the manual and learn what knob does what. Once you have that down you can do so much at once.

I just got the 48 and the small oven light won’t shut on/off. If the oven is off the light is off. If the oven is on, the light is on. Is this normal?

We have the 40 and yes the ovens are frustrating. Neither of the tow ovens are full size, so had to throw away a bunch of pans. The oven racks are thin metal as well, they work but wish for a beefier racks on some kind of rail system. The cook top burners run HOT, had to have them adjusted down in order to simmer and still need a simmer plate. The look is good, but we didn't 'love' it the first few months. The support is also lacking. Took waaaaay too long to get a warranty issue resolved, and many frustrating emails and phone calls. Keep that in mind if you live in a more rural area.

I could see that as an issue in a rural area. That is the advantage from purchasing from a near by highly rated store. Because they can get things done for you under warranty. But if your rural that could be tough

@@leslieh6739 Yeah, Yale Appliances hate ILVE and how they present themselves at tradeshows. Yale always push people to other brands like Miele but then ur paying the big $. I love our Miele kitchen and everything is made to last 20 years. The guy in the video is right about making sure you have a local service network before even thinking about going ILVE.

Dude, clearly you are not the mom of a household. That second oven is a little smaller than it should be especially since the large oven may be a bit bigger than needed, but the small oven could cook a small bird or a small casserole. Also handy for small single-serve re-heat of a dinner. And e excellent for garlic bread. Or cooking a loaf of bread and not having to heat up the bigger space.

I have an ilve range. It broke after only owning it for two years. Just after the 2 year warranty expired of course. It broke 5 months ago and it’s still not fixed. I’ve paid an additional $2500 for a new part that still hasn’t been delivered and no updates from the company on when or if it will ever arrive. I’ve asked for a refund for the replacement part I ordered and haven’t gotten anywhere with that either. I’m having to dispute the charge now with my credit card. It’s unbelievable that this company is still doing business.

We have had an Ilve Nostalgie for 3 years. I do not recommend this range. When we purchased, I couldn’t find any genuine consumer review on this so we rolled the dice. It looks beautiful and price was very tempting compared to other options but I wish I spent a bit more for another range.

    Why?

    5 ай бұрын

@@Undersizedutopia The oven, we are somewhat happy with. Although the original thermostat was replaced right after purchase ( technician calculated it running 70 degrees oven set temperature), the oven functionality was a major reason I went with this oven. It heats up quickly, it allows the user to use top and bottom heating element together or top/ bottom individually, it can do broil with fan or without, spit roast attachment works really well, I have cooked a few whole chickens that way. And pizza setting( don’t know how) cooks really good crunchy pizza. The only problem with oven is the volume. Why the heck they put 10 inch long legs underneath the range and wasted all that potential oven space, I don’t know. The stove on the other hand is an absolute let down. Thin gauge stainless on the stove surface. It is hard to turn on the flame. You have to hold the knob down for a good 5 seconds before you can release. They put a overboil safety system that cuts the gas if something over boils, it went bad for 3 burners in first 2! years. When they go bad the gas doesn’t stay on. 2 igniters have been replaced and I have another one gone since. I haven’t got that replaced. I am just using a lighter. The nickel alloy(i think) rings underneath the the burners collected a ton of burned crud and I can’t clean them anymore. Burners run hot. I have the two burners on the back side adjusted to turn as low as possible and still I need a simmer plate to simmer anything.

Nationwide, there is no way. Probably will happen state by state and I feel Colorado wont be as aggressive as California or New York, but they will be among the first dozen states for sure.
