Knocked this one out the park. As a grill manufacturer, we went through litterally every feature you mentioned. Wish you posted this video 3 years ago. Could have saved us 3 years of R&D😅. Spot on in every aspect.

WOW! No better comment than from an actual grill manufacturer who readily admits you are spot on with your knowledge and observations that could have saved them 3 years of R&D. My money is on the next product they introduce to the market.

Thanks so much for providing quality knowledgeable content in a fun way. Love the informal style/format and little jokes you guys make. Makes the videos fly by! Also Trevor well done on the weight loss (You talked about in the video of your old outdoor kitchen). You look healthier and sound like you feel better too (which is the most important). Thanks keep up the good work!

Great video, amazing insight and knowledge. I'm in the UK, but thiught I'd comment anyway. I just bought a Napoleon Pro kettle because I thought gas grills were supposed to be inferior in many ways. Then discovered your channel. It looks like gas grills have come a long way. Is a charcoal kettle like the one I puchased a good choice still in 2024? Or an unpopular dated choice? And more importantly...where can I get that crazy cool shirt from? (For real)

Does the Napoleon Prestige Pro 500 RSIB come with a metal cover for tne inside the lid infrared burner, like a plate to cover it up? I just ordered this grill being delivered tomorrow. I want to make sure any and all parts are included and that the store or delivery crew doesn't shaft me, thanks. Any advice to look for before signing the slip?😂 New subscriber and great information, thank you.

Question about the side infrared burner. What does it get you that the main grill doesn’t. Fwiw I have a new napoleon insert grill. Love it so far, wonder if it’s worth the hassle and expense of adding the infrared.

Honest feedback appreciated. Every cooking appliance has its place. I have gas, charcoal ..... and then I have the plain old campfire. In my opinion, nothing beats a live wood fire for cooking. The flavor imparted from the smoke from the wood just cannot be beat. Had a friend build me a stainless steel free standing cooking grate years ago to use on the campfire. But, on rainy days, crappy days, or if you just aren't feelin' the live fire ...... gas grill works great!

Dude, I love your videos although it makes it tougher for me to decide cause there is so much to choose from. I have a 10 year old WEBER spirit now, but I am strongly thinking of buying either a Napoleon prestige 500 pro ,or a Napoleon prestige 500 (not the pro version). or maybe the Napoleon Phantom. I am just not sure if it is worth the money difference between the prestige and prestige PRO types. I was also looking at the WEBER smart grill too, but I do not like the fact that there is no traditional thermometer on the grill except for the digital one. I am afraid this will malfunction in no time. Wish you had a selling point here in Croatia, you would do great business. Greetings from your fan in Dubrovnik, Croatia

Please do the lava rocks! I remember adding them to some old grills when I was a kid. For the side burner unless you have the power to cook on a wok with high flames they are junk. Get the sear station. Rotisserie cooking is scary to start with. I know the first time I tried it I was not sure what exactly I was doing. After a few cooks with just the spit rod and some picanha I love it! Got the basket for wings and even shrimp. Also have the kabob accessory for some veggies and small protein pieces. It is so much easier than trying to direct grill the items and makes a more even cook IMO.

IMO you get better flavour with ceramic briquettes than steel flame tamers. A lot of restaurant grills use ceramic briquettes. But, you need to be an experienced cook, because there can be more flare ups. Do the lava rock test, but try it with ceramic briquettes instead. Lava rocks are guaranteed flare up city.
