That also made Cal really special as of the few who survived the encounter of Darth Vader. I wonder were Cal, Cere and Merrin are in the canon. But tbh this story deserves a trilogy even if it goes outside of canon and makes Cal the new chosen one or new way of saving the empire(Maybe by introducing some other threat). This game was perfect: Exploration, action, some bits of rpg(Sadly few decisions to make or relations to grow but still) those perks also didn't feel that good. Cosmetics were decent and most important = FREE. They either make a trilogy or give us the same sized DLC for an epilogue. I've heard people that Cal dies just before the Return of the Jedi, but I still haven't found anything confirming Cal Kestis to be in the canon so idk

@@dawidpotega882 So far as I can ascertain, everything presented is cannon; the Second and Ninth Sister were in the new comics, so and Fortress Inquisitorius is right where its supposed to be. Where they take Cal's story, who knows. I mean, they did retcon/confirm that the old Rebel Trooper in RotJ was, indeed ol' Cap'n Rex.

He doesn't even have a health bar. From that moment I knew there was no way to even touch him. A not fully trained padawan vs the dark lord of the siths... Either run or die. There was no chance at all to beat him

I wonder why he didn't want to kill Cal at first. Was he going to imprison him and break him like the rest into inquisitor? Maybe he was going to spare him and destroy Holocron himself? Or maybe he saw something else than a Jedi in Cal. This really needs to be a trilogy it could tell so much tales of what happened in the galaxy during the events of the movies and new breed of Jedi with Nightsister!

In recent years one thing Star Wars has done right is how really displaying how frightening Vader was. From Rogue one, even to rebels and the comics. Vader wasn't even mentioned from what I remember once during the story really but as soon as you heard that breathing and the footsteps you knew shit was about to go south for you!

It's true. The original movie showed him as terrifying, but at the end of his prime. It's great to have seen when he was at his full strength. In Fallen Order he's never mentioned directly, but Cere does talk about a dark figure, who almost broke her. It was all that was needed to be said tbh.

@@IllevaSWTOR There's also the fact that Fallen Order is set five years after Episode III, so Anakin is still young. That's why he was able to outduel Cere with only one hand, since he had already perfected his fighting style by mixing elements of different forms. The best part is the story of this game is official SW canon.

@@IllevaSWTOR There isn't really a "prime" in the case of force wielders especially sith lords. Look at count dooku and how agile/powerful he was and he was in his 80s and he has only but the fraction of the power vader has. Darth Vader when he died was only 44.

Yeah, I'm one of the people that agreed with Cal's decision. It was definitely the best call to have him destroy the holocron. I'm pretty sure that Merrin had addressed that angle earlier on in the game too, as well as the vision on Bogano.

The thing about that vision is that it isn't guaranteed. Sometimes, they're not even true visions, just ones that play on your own deepest doubts and fears. That aside, I do agree that destroying the holocron was for the best. The children are safer scattered in anonymity than if they were all gathered in one place. Ignoring the hordes of imperial soldiers and the Inquisitors, there a few alive at that time capable of going toe to toe with Vader.

Might be his first vision ever and there's nobody around to teach him how to handle it. Idk it's all speculation but it's fun that this game made people talk about stuff like that

@Haku infinite no he did. You can hear the "Force Grip" sound effect shortly after she freaks out, it's the reason she's shaking so vigorously. Listen for the sound, it is the same sound you hear when Vader grabs Cal too, he was holding her in place but yea she was also freaking out

I'm glad with how they treated Vader. Honestly I barely pay attention to story in games but I really liked the story in this one. "I'm not afraid of you" "Then you will die braver than most" It's not from the game. But it's one of his quotes and it fits him so good.

Well when you look how Battlefront 2 is now and how anthem was kinda brought back and ea supports the overhaul bioware wants to make, it really seems like they are learning that supporting the devs in making a good game that attracts a good, loyal playerbase is much better than rushing out crap for quick money.

@@rob1don311 That's what Satele Shan and Darth Marr teach the players in The Old Republic: Knights of the Fallen Empire. Marr learned that the Jedi were right all along ("There is no death. There is only the Force. And it has a plan.") while Satele admits that the Jedi were too stubborn in following only the light side. The ultimate truth that they both learned from conversing with each other was that the Force just is, and there's no real sense in forcing a dichotomy between the light and dark sides. I kinda wish TOR was canon in some respects.

That moment you think you have done it and beaten the game ... and Vader shows up. Thank god the trolls spreading the rumor that Cal would die at the hands of Vader were not true

6:24 I mean, I messed up this part when I played. Vader broke BD's neck like a twig, and gutted me like a pig.

Everytime I see that scene it makes me tear up. The moment you hear his breath and the music starts playing, perfectly depicts not only the torment and the anguish Vader is feeling, but the immense hatred, suffering and fear that the character brings. Well done Respawn.

@@j.jonahjameson5729 Apparently his feat of holding back the ocean would require way more power than simply pulling a low orbit star destroyer down. I don't know if Starkiller does anything more impressive than that in the legends stories or not, but I was under the impression that that was considered one of his most impressive feats with the force, and if not, then feel free to correct me. But I got the info that him holding back the ocean was way more impressive than what Starkiller does from a "The Science" video on it from The Game Theorists. So if you want to argue this with me could you please go watch that video first, since that would save me having to explain everything said in that video in extensive detail.

This is the Vader from your nightmares. This is the Vader that haunts your dreams. This Vader...is unstoppable.

This was the most real and most honest reaction I have seen in a long long time.

I was excited during this scene too but didn't know it could get this kinda reaction out of somebody, kinda envious to a degree tbh , seems like you are having a lot of fun! Also I love how almost everybody's reaction, mine included, is fear of Vader then as soon as he touches BD-1 we are like "don't you dare I will kill you!" xD

I didn't want to see BD hurt ;; I constantly would take a moment to stand still and give him some headpats This part gave me chills The second I heard his breathing and saw Trilla stop, I started squeaking and losing it lol It's 3 am And I got even more hooked to the game than I was What a great story tho I hate how most of these side plots always build up to possibly have such an effect on the Galaxy and canon but then it all gets shut down in some way, like with the holocron getting destroyed Yes it was necessary But we knew something would happen to it :c An ending of cal becoming an Inquisitor and having to hunt down those force sensitives and other jedi would be something else lmao Sometimes dark endings are good And makes you think the story had more weight on the Galaxy than the happier ending where you did all of this just to destroy it

This is when you actually realize, when you get down to it, for Star Wars fans... Vader is God.

Ever since I found out about the ending to this game, I've been hoping to find a reaction like yours. The entire sequence is truly awesome. Thanks for posting this!

I notice that I don't show much I had so much fun playing the game and in the end I had so many emotions but all you would see is a emotionless face with fixed Eyes on the computer screen. I also heard that men bodies react less to emotional simulation then woman bodies do. I think it is because of harmouns

Considering the timeline and this game being Canon( I think) I'm guessing Luke and Leia were on that holocron.

It's sad when Trilla died, I like her. She was dramatic character. Cal can help she, but again Darth Vader comes back.

Anakin’s Dark Deeds is a perfect score/theme for Darth Vader.

I just finished this game and this moment was pure genius. The music, the visuals and the atmosphere. Truly fitting cameo for the dark lord Anakin.

Now that is the proper response to seeing the Dark Lord.

So I just finished my first playthrough of Fallen Order, and I had a very emotional reaction to the Darth Vader sequence. It was probably the most impactful moment in my star wars fandom. I went to youtube afterwards to see if others reacted the way that I did, but most of them were just hyped or laughing lol. It wasnt until I found your youtube video that I saw someone who reacted similarly. I especially liked that you mentioned rogue one, as before this that was my favorite scene in all of star wars because of how they finally did vader some justice in mainstream media. Sorry for the long message, I just really appreciated your video and wanted to say thanks. It's just a highlight of my initial reaction, something I've never been able to hide :) If you ever wanna come by my streams, I do strive to stream Monday - Friday 10am - 5pm GMT, and some times in the weekend as well :)

This sequence was so well done. Trilla didn’t show any kind of fear throughout the story. In fact, she was cocky as fuck. But when Darth Vader showed up you could feel her fear. Everybody’s gangsta until Vader shows up. 😂

I've been playing games for a long time, and this is one of the best. It's good to see Star Wars done right. All of the characters are so good. I hope we get story DLC or a sequel.

if i would work for resoawn i would be so proud, seeing all these reactions on YT. Pleasing Star wars fans is surely not a easy task :D

I gotta hand it to this game, they did a great job showing just how fucking terrifying it is to have Lord Vader pursue you and all you can do is run like hell and pray to the Force.

Her reaction when Vader appears is worth all the Gold on this planet. :))
