The problem is that the behaviour of an ex who probably was loving, caring and considerate during the relationshio is now so unfathomable after a breakup... It can be very emotionally, morally and intelectually devastating. You are thrown completely away into a void with only your soul to cope. You don't only feel betrayed, you feel fooled: you are eager to receive only a simple "hi", or a "how were you doing" from a person who showed you love for YEARS to reconcile (not even coming back), and nothing. You can get over them, but it's not that easy to get over what their turn the love and companionship between the two of you into.

We’re all sitting here wishing we never felt heartbreak while there are people who’ve never experienced love so intense where heartbreaks come in. This is the arc where we take care of ourselves, not out of resentment or hatred but simply to accept what’s happened and move on the best way we know how. At the start of the breakup i thought i had lost her forever, but in time i realised that when she tried to come back, she was really the one who lost me. It takes a while but it gets easier as time goes on.

Year and a half mate, and that was after leaving me where she just never came home, blocked me for year and a half, no closure, never even said why she left. She text me and i got excited, but she didnt reply to me asking her how she was for another month, and that was the turning point for me where i realised how terrible she actually was and is to me. I got unblinded in the end. You gotta try accept it for what it is. But if youve just broken up, whatever you do, do not contact her at all, show her you are fine without her, this is what made her come back, she saw me finally dating someone, and that was the moment where she realised she might lose me, so thats when she shouted me. All situations are different, if you really do love her and it was you that made the mistake, i wouldnt take my advice because it was her who left me for what seems no reason at all, i still to this day have never had an explanation, just some shitty ‘im so sorry i know i was wrong’ texts. Just her way to release her guilt for what she put me through Honestly bro, man to man, if you need someone to just ask shit about, trust me i really loved this girl, to the point i would still probs take a bullet for her now even if she cheated on me in the end like she did. So yeh bro if i can help in anyway, ill do that. I fully know what u going through bro

I broke NC again after 40 days and somehow it's better and we talk and chat and call but eventually she starts ignoring me yet again when I talk about reconciliation , she ignored me for weeks or 15 days , i miss her so everytime she ignored me I text her again , its been a pattern of 10 days 15 days and I broke it....yesterday I broke it again , and she still hasn't reply to me , idk what else should I do , I miss this girl a lot and I want to work things up as in 2months we won't be studying in the same college anymore, I told her that clearly but she still took it lightly, I wrote a letter , audio record but its all in vein

But she told me it probably won't be forever and in text message I felt strange because she still called me with cute nickname she always gave me and it feels more like she lied to herself to not to be in serious relationship with deep love. When she'll come back (if she will) I'm not gonna accept like nothing happened, I'm in so much pain I can't get up from bed all these months, she'll need not just explain everything and say sorry to me to recover. But i mean he doesnt understand how wrong it is to have kept a secret him being friends with one of his exes..i even asked him why this particular ex? And not all of them?? Even after i told him about my past he still didnt tell me about his ex. The way i found out was messed up..staying felt disrespectful to me..he slipped up her name in bed..and lied about it blaming it on a video game. And later i found out who was first in his contacts..so nope im not a coward for leaving him once and for all..😊

I am a dumper. I spiraled to my absolute worst point with anxiety, depression, in addition to ruminating thoughts about the relationship. When I was at my worst, he blamed me for not being able to meet his needs. I wanted things to change, and they didn't. Do I hope we could get back together despite what happened? Yes. But it got to the point where I didn't think I could stay for a second longer because it impacted my wellbeing so much. Taking care of yourself when it gets THAT bad is not cowardly, it's necessary for self-preservation.

🤔 Not sure of your situation, but i can relate with feelings of rejection and being abandoned. So the ego always seems to hold as much pride. Ive learned that no one is perfect and relationships will never be as well. Try not letting your anger cloud your heart. There is the Fading Effects Bias, where we give the old crap from the relation a chance to dump all the negative and then humans start to remember the good parts of the relation a chance to rise again. Ive been with my partner gf for 5 years minus 2; i walked away for 2 years for us both to fix are own demons, so we dont continue to sabotage our situationship. Some people have to learn to grow up and mature 🙄 And we grow through hardships if you do the work. Now im in round two, while i am getting ready to walk away again from the girl. When my ex and I divorced, I never saw or heard from her again and it’s been over 15 years since our divorce. When we were done, we were done. I moved on and she did too. Thank goodness for that too.

Hearing from your Ex means nothing. They just want validation because they are bored with their options. They want to keep you on a leash so they can pull you back for their convenience. If your Ex left you. Never accept them in your life.

I was so desperate for mine to come back, and whenever he finally did it was about six months that I waited and during those six months, I could hardly get out of bed I could hardly eat my hair fell out and I would cry all the time. I thought I had missed out on my soulmate or something so whenever he came back and he was a jerk and not the person that I had hyped him up in my head to be I felt really stupid for waiting crying and freaking myself out so much that my hair fell out, your ex is an ex for a reason maybe God took him away from you as a blessing and you won’t realize this until later on in life

It depends on why there was a breakup in the first place. If either party cheated and infidelity was involved, there is no return. At this point, you just move on with your life and find a new partner. Never reconcile with a cheater. They will only cheat on you again if you get back together.

Even after slipping up their name and having told them about our previous history...like he still never bothered to tell me about that ex..i feel like he just used me to make her jealous..by posting our relationship on social media..for every month he made it his mission to do so..lol makes sense now..yeah i miss him but he definitely wasnt good for me...and he knew it..he told me n it makes sense sadly..i wish he had told me earlier so i wouldn't have started to get attached to him...or the routine we had .

Good message! Sometimes it's just our immaturity, either in the moment or even over a long period of time, that contributes to a breakup. Evaluate what you can contribute to a healthier relationship, and take the time to discover who you can achieve that with. It may be your ex or it may be someone new. However never chase your ex. Use it as a time to become a "whole person", someone that is happy to have someone else in their life, but not someone that "needs" another person to complete them. Many blessings!

It’s been off and on with mine for 5 years and last time i saw him was November. Since then it’s been radio silence and in March on my birthday - he dropped gifts off on top of my car at my HOUSE 🤦🏻‍♀️. Since it wasn’t the contact I wanted, I never responded back to the whole gift thing. He always pulls this shit with the indirect direct approach. On top of that, the card he left with the gifts left no indication he wanted to meet up, talk, or any of that. The card was dry AF like a default birthday card from CVS that was in the clearance section. I dont think I’m being petty either, I think I’m just knowing my worth and holding a boundary. Do I love him and want him? Yes, but I’m not accepting stale ass breadcrumbs even Aladdin wouldn’t eat.
