If YOU Think Burpees Are BORING - TRY DOING THIS

Ойын-сауық

Today we are going to add a little fantasy and imagination to our workout. All with the goal of making, what could otherwise be another boring burpee workout, EXCITING.
Here's the story/idea from ‪@BurpeeMatty‬
Today we are trying to escape from an open grave. We were viciously attacked by a sick and demented grave digger. During the attack we were thrown into a 200 foot open grave. We now have to scale from the preposterous depth of 200 feet, in order to be free.
The way of escape is through completing the following burpee combo:
1 navy seal burpee
1 2 pump burpee.
This equals 5 push-ups, or for the purposes of the workout, 5 feet of climbing.
You and I need to complete 200 push-ups, using the above burpee sequence as fast as possible, in order to escape this open grave.
Once you've completed the 200 push-ups (or 40 combined reps of the navy seal and 2 pump burpee combo), you need to note the time it took you to "climb the 200 feet".
BECASUE, the evil and sadistic grave digger is waiting for you at the top of the grave. With no regard for you and I, he kicks us backwards into the grave. Now in order to finally escape, we have to complete 10 extra reps, (10 feet of climbing) for every 5 minutes it took us to scale up the side of the grave.
EXAMPLE:
15 minutes to climb the 200 feet/reps = 30 extra feet or reps
20 minutes to climb the 200 feet/reps = 40 extra feet or reps
25 minutes to climb the 200 feet/reps = 50 extra feet or reps
30 minutes to climb the 200 feet/reps = 60 extra feet or reps
The NEW way of escape is by using the following burpee combo:
One 3 pump burpees - kick back - into one 2 pump burpee
This equals 5 push-up or 5 feet. Complete as many reps as needed in order to finally escape the open grave.
EXAMPLE:
30 extra feet or reps = doing the above burpee combo 6 times
40 extra feet or reps = doing the above burpee combo 8 times
50 extra feet or reps = doing the above burpee combo 10 times
60 extra feet or reps = doing the above burpee combo 12 times

All credit to you my man for the idea👊. I thought about the back story yesterday when I was thinking about a few things to say in the voiceovers. I looked at the vest in the video and it just clicked. Which is a reason why I personally like doing a voiceover sometimes, as opposed to taking strait to the camera all the time. It allows you to gather some thoughts and put em together half sensibly. Less pressure. Your routines are always creative brother. Keep doing your thing👊.

No weapons on site but those guns were busting out of your sleeves by the end there! Having fun is definitely a key part of these sessions to stay engaged. Rock on brother!

And I’m thinking I’m gonna have to go all in on the fun and YT stuff man. Taking it to serious certainty isn’t fun. That I do know😕haha. And the Leafs are currently up big and a Raps game is on next. If only I didn’t have to work tomorrow 😂.

@@DavidWhitten you should definitely go all in on the fun for YT! Why not make a game of it indeed. Unfortunately I majorly strained my lower back last week so I’ve been taking it super easy and careful, no training aside from physiotherapy stretches until it’s all better. Not taking any chances! So I’ll have to restart my navy seal journey whenever I can handle burpees again but that’s also part of the fun of this training! Appreciate you checking in brother. Leafs and Raps represent! 🇨🇦

Oh yetiiiiiii bruv, vested up aswell, with depth blocks for the hands! Respect!! Aint much room in the tomb!!!! Fleshing out ya character with a back story aswell bro. This is ace, i can see this burpee role playing shit getting deep 7 and a half mins in....dripping with sweat and he drops the yetiiiiii😎 Yettiiiiii I love using aggresion to train. Sometimes i imagine someone talking bad about my family to rile me up for extra energy. I find it a great energy to channel for a workout....get that hyped and start barking like DMX😂 Bruv what has changed in the basement of brutality? It looks different but i cant put my finger on it....fresh lick of paint or sommat? Man that gravedigger gave u a 'this is sparta' kick back down the pit! And a 2nd yetiiiiii! Yetiiiiiiiiiiiii💣 Few extra reps to help the boys up, id say thats equaivalent to carving a few footholds on the way up out of the pit! Man davey is that fired up I bet he went outside popping shots in the air with his 50 cal!!! Shots ringing off like a wedding in kuwait!!! More of this typa energy bro its great! Peeking over the top of the pit to check the gravedigger aint around! Mega! Great vid brother! 🫡

And the time of day may play into that as well. And I’m totally there with ya on aggression. Use it as fuel, all day💪! And I got the block idea from you, when you used the plates on that huge 40 rnd Cindy workout you did👊. And the best was just a way to make the challenge a bit greater. Plus it played well into the back story😂. And I kept the firearms locked but haha, but on New Years, there’s generally a few bangs🔫💥heard around the community. Alright man, I’m heading out for a cruise now, and as you know, when I enforce the highway traffic act in Newfoundland and Labrador I’m always pumping the savage, raw, thunderous beats from the land of oat cakes and monkey dust, the parradox hip hop show on AUDR, the alternative sounds of the MFin potteries, let’s gooooooo✌️👊!
