Do you ever feel you need to be somewhere else in life, success, career, or relationships? Do you ever feel like you're not really sure where to go or what to do - And you feel like everyone else has? I want to share with you my story, along with some tips and strategies to help you redefine what success looks like. And then I also want to discuss how to get it.
The first takeaway is that age does not matter. You can find your purpose, passion, and path as long as you're alive and have an opportunity.
The next step is identifying what success looks like to you. Many of us get confused when we think success is supposed to look a certain way. Perhaps your version of success is being able to travel seven days a week; or perhaps your version of success is living in a tent; or maybe your version of success is a Lambo or a Maserati. It doesn't matter, it's your choice, but you have to decide.
The other reality is that your definition of success can, will, and should change. Fifteen years ago, my version of success was different. I did not visualize myself posting videos on KZread. Success was owning a lot of fitness centers.
Success does not always look like what you think or what you hope or expect it will. You have to be open, which I had to be when my version of success collapsed. I needed to be open to exploring other avenues. One of the best courses I've ever taken was by Emma Gannon, "Discovery and Success: 7 Exercises to Uncover Your Purpose, Passion, and Path." You can check it out over at Skillshare. I've also been diving into all of Cat Cocolette's courses, in which she teaches step-by-step how to build a brand, post, and monetize.
My next tip is to focus on progress instead of perfection. I used to think that if I made mistakes and things weren't going exactly how I felt they should be, I wouldn't be successful. The truth is that as long as you progress in your journey, you are successful. There is no one-size-fits-all solution to success or the journey to get there. Through the process, you're going to make mistakes and stumble. You'll fail, but this is good as long as you learn and progress.
During your journey to success, stop self-sabotaging by using drugs or alcohol. Take a challenge and stop drinking for 30 days and see what happens. You'll be more productive and achieve more. Also, stop hanging out with those who are doing self-destructive things. Surround yourself with people with your best intentions and move in a similar direction. Your network is your net worth. Your tribe will be there to help guide and assist you. Lose the scarcity mindset and start looking at everything as an opportunity where you can grow together.
If you're somebody that it grew up poor and starting from behind, congratulations. That's an advantage from a mentality standpoint. You may not have the same resources, but that's okay. If you can stay hungry and focused, you will figure it out. Work hard and keep your eyes open while constantly exploring. You'll appreciate success more than somebody who had things handed to them. Stay optimistic, humble, and hungry.

I turn 45 this year. Since I got divorced 2 years ago, I was able to buy my first house. Something I was originally working towards while married. After moving in to the house, I've been able to work harder at something I've been doing since I was 13 years old! And that's music. I've played in church for 20 years and sat in with other musicians in that time. But it's turned from just something I've always done to a therapeutic process. I've practiced more than I've ever been able to and I make videos of me playing as nothing more than to show a goal accomplished. I still fight the "running out of time" mindset but let me tell ya, playing more has seriously helped.

I am about to turn 47. And did the band thing my entire life. I am disabled now from a auto accident. And can only play drums at church now. No more lugging and hauling gear for me. And while I have lots of time now. I actually play less. Because after about 30 minutes. I am in too much pain. But man that 30 minutes of playing. Is such an emotional release for me. Keep practicing and playing. And post a link for any videos you have. I would love to check them out

Bro the story of my life is about identical to yours.
"It is better to conquer yourself than to win 1,000 battles. Then, the victory is yours and cannot be taken from you. Not by angels or by demons. Not heavens or hells"
You're always there with 'THAT' video when needed the most ♥️
I needed this video. I'm 23, I am working a job I don't enjoy just because I need money to sustain myself since my parents can't help me after my mother lost her job during the pandemic and can't get it back and my father makes barely enough to pay for bills and food (btw my contract expires in 6 months and I don't know what I will do next). I quit university because I didn't like what I was studying, I didn't feel "alive". I have an amazing girlfriend who supports me and two friends and that's it. I have no skills as of now, no passion for anything in particular, I feel absolutely stuck and lost.
I was sitting in my office yesterday with 80% of my business idea done and was thinking that it's all worthless.. That video came at the right time.. Thanks man!
Alpha, a couple of years ago, you helped me find my style and moreover confidence in me, fast forward post covid, I feel my life crumbled as you can't ever imagine, I lost my house, I lost my partner, I barely make it for food sometimes, and in hunger and despair i found this very inspiring video that I can make it all over again and I have many years ahead to keep pushing. Thank you.
I agree!! I just turned 38, and just now starting to feel like things are going in the right path!! At 30 years old i felt like such a failure!! Because seeing other people around my age looking like they already had it figured out, not long after that I was DONE with FB and the majority of social media in my name, instead now it's in my company's name!! Branding!! Anyone in the Nc area need any work done remodeling/ basically anything to do with your home, reach out!. Great video Alpha!!
Man i felt like this and really down because of it. Thanks Aaron. These videos hit at the right time

Many of Alpha's video hit on time for me too. This one applies too. 😐
As I'm staring out my window feeling behind and inferior, what timing.
I was literally feeling this way this morning, thank you for this.
I've had over 60 jobs, a univ degree, veteran, been a youth pastor married 34 yrs, 64 yrs old or young. Still have bunch of ideas. Oh, did I mention I was diagnosed with Severe Adult Attention Deficit Disorder in 1998. Never done drugs, smoked etc. God gets the glory. Before all this I wanted to die I was sooo depressed. I read John 3:16 and recieved Jesus as Savior. Done. I had hope to keep moving trusting in God's promises.
I’ve noticed for the past 2 weeks I’ve been super tired. No motivation to get up early. Plus I feel emotionless most of the day.

This is one of your best episodes! It's so true about what you said. I'm 42 and NOW, I finally feel free and successful.
this is exactly what I needed right now, almost made me cry.
Great advice! Things started picking up for me when I was in my mid-40s. Videos like this make me more realize that I don't need to stop even now.
Appreciate you brother
Constantly. This was a good reset and re-focus of mindset. I think realizing the perception of success is fluid is incredibly hard. Thank you. It’s nice not to feel alone and defeated.😊
I’m glad you brought up the Menfluential Conference in this video. I met some great guys at the last two conferences (‘19 and ‘20); including you Aaron. I still stay in touch with some of them. I hope there can be another one in the future.
Thank you for your video today. I’m working from ground zero myself too. I choose to level up for me and my wife and family each day. I appreciate your vulnerability and clarity on what it means to have a scarcity mindset.
Thanks brother
You are really a god send we needed to hear this

This video was great. Thank you.
Thank you, Alpha.
Needed this. Thank you!
I can't help but feel a bit behind at 34. A lot of my friends are married with kids. I have been told my whole life that this is what makes a successful adult. By the time my dad was my age, he was married with kids already. As such, I have been in a rush to find someone to love and don't know if this is really the right approach. I just want to have a family and to be proud of that guy in the mirror. I have talked through this with my therapist and my friends, but I can't help but feel I am failing at that aspect.
Needed to hear this. Thanks
Love your work Alpha, from Aus
You make a lot of sense Aron

Thank you Aaron. I needed to see this like last year. Everything you touched on was like you were talking just to me. 🙏🏻🙏🏻Many thanks brother God bless ✌🏻✌🏻
great video thanks
Make more videos like this Alpha!
i’m 20 at the moment & it’s sad that I constantly feel like my time is running out to become a musician, mainly because looking at all these successful artists who made names for themselves at 18-19, it feels like i’m lagging behind. I know it sounds dumb to be 20 feeling like that but I guess in this day & age everyone feels pressured to have life figured out so young. slowly breaking that mindset of being behind in progress & hearing other people’s stories really does help put life into perspective.
I’m so glad you made this video your awesome needed this so much man I’m 22 years old and me being stressed about my life and what I’m going to do about success and what I want , Ik I want a wife one day and children and be not living pay check to paycheck and live a happy life but idk where that’ll come all Ik is I’m getting closer to god now and hope he helps with that as well with you Alpha M your awesome

What if I’m not sure what hat success looks to me yet
Good advice Alpha! I turned 30 on the 4th of May. I'm just getting started! 🎉
I think this is the first time i save a KZread video. Just in case I don't feel motivated later at some point in life, thank you for this!
Nice friend 🙋🏻♂️ 🥰
Thanks
That’s what I needed to hear❤ ❤
Thank u
Me in the same boat
Right on time
This was a very good video. I liked that the 12 year old had his face from awhile ago.
AMEN!
Finals are over. Glad to be seeing this because now I'm so lost in life without stress. First statement made on having to be somewhere hit me hard :(
It's never too late for a change yall
Glad to know I'm not the only one who feels like, or has felt like this. Everyone's version of success is different. Don't let society influence what this means to you. It's not just about money. I've had money, and I've been in places where I don't have much money. Right now I'm somewhere in the middle, but I have my time, great people around me, and more than I need. For me, that's worth more than any dollar amount. Money NEVER made me truly happy. Everything you say here is true. You're awesome!!
I love you Alpha
Bro coming back from college and watching these videos just makes me feel at peace and I forget about all the useless shi in life.
Succes is everything that makes you happy.
I just turned 30 a couple months ago. Still got a lot to learn and accomplish!
Yes this is for me thanks
