When I came out as Transgender to my family which was like a death to them, I had to work 5 years to get their acceptence but its worth it. I think all familys are able to love their children uncondicinally. Just sometimes we have to support our familys and not our familys us

I love that he pointed out that when women wear pants it's "strong", but if a man wears a dress it's "disgusting". It's so ingrained in many societies that dressing like a man "elevates" a woman with power, while a man dressing like a woman "lowers" him to the level of a woman, which is somehow bad. This is true of anything that's considered feminine- makeup, fashion, showing emotions etc. It's such a fundamentally negative flaw in our society that needs to be changed if we're going to accept each other for who we are. Guys and girls and everyone in-between, you go be the best version of yourself, you have this stranger on the internet's support. You do you!

Love both of them. Billy Porter is such a strong character, unafraid and ready to take on anything that's in his way, but always so respectful and considerate. And well, what can I say? I haven't seen a lot of men just rock an outfit they are completely unfamiliar with, just getting into the vibes, unconcerned and joyful. This is wonderful to watch.

Beautiful! One of the good things about being alive in our times, that we are moving to not only be more accepting, but to celebrate all the variety of personality, gender and personal expression. To think our society would force people to hide who they were unless it was just one expression of being a woman or one expression of being man.

As a straight white guy, non-binary behavior/dressing used to make me a little uncomfortable. Increasingly, I recognize it as a proud positive expression that I find moving and inspiring. Not about theatricality sexuality but about identity, pure simple and beautiful.

I love that how Stephen is a great listener ! Part of being a good interviewer and speaker is being a good listener and he doesn’t interrupt but pays attention and is always open to listen to the guest and their stories and waits to give input ! I think this character of his that is himself is so good ! Things that remind me of Jon Stewart !

Loved these 2 together! So many families are not equipped to love us in many circumstances, not just sexual!

i’ve watched stephen for a long time, but this moment in his show, really made me smile. It reminded me that there are some really good people out there.

He may have crazy outfits, but I resect that he’s not afraid to be himself.
