Yo I’m a straight dude from Texas that started watching Pose cause my homegirl and I ran out of shit to watch on quarantine. Had I known ahead of time it was all about Drag I would have never given it a chance, but we started watching it and man it’s objectively a really good show. When Billy Porters character finds out he tests positive for HIV I am sure the board at the Emmy’s was like “welp, he wins.” Not only that, but then his character wastes no emotion on any word... he got a rightfully deserved Emmy and I find myself now fully engaged in this show... well done FX

That made me cry, because I found out several years ago that I have black ancestry, which was a deep family secret and I saw how the fear and self-hatred twisted up my grandparents and their parents. We should never be forced to lie about who we are. It's so incredibly toxic and kudos to Porter for speaking that truth.

That was a tough category. All those actors had great performances but Billy Porter deserved it

Billy porter is such an inspiration to so many people who dont believe in themselves and put themselves self down, like what I did for many years until I watched him in Pose. That award is rightfully his, I can't tell you how many times I laughed, cried and was inspired that no matter how tough life gets - things do get better but aslong as you change it and stand up for what you believe in. Very well deserved you truly inspirational man 💖💖💖
