Also, not all southwest asians are included only those three countries that the person mentioned are called desi countries. According to google, Pakistani ppl have the most diverse and versatility in race among desi countries. For example, Indian and Bangladeshi ppl are tall, tan (mostly) while Pakistani ppl are Caucasian. So they are both tall/short, tan/dark/fair, skinny/chubby. They are the only desi country who have ppl with monolid as well and also the only desi country where ppl have naturally blond, blue eye color. Being chubby is consider beautiful in Pakistan. So basically fitting their beauty standard means you can almost pass every beauty standard. Txt kai, txt taehyun, itzy ryujin, itzy chaeyoung, enhypen's jay and so many others have Pakistani visuals. Here are few example of artists who passes their beauty standards without having Pakistani visuals or desi visuals includes bts rm, bts jungkook, almost all twice members, ateez mingi, ikon's b.i, ikon's dk, ikon's june, bp's rose, all txt members, enhypen's jake, svt's mingyu, svt's jun and so on. Im American. I always find it weird how almost always the one I find the most attractive in a Kpop group tends to be the “ugly” one in Korea. I think it’s because westerners value unique faces and curvier bodies more. We also find both tanned skin and light attractive, whereas Korean beauty standards tend to be pretty rigid, westerners tend to see beauty as subjective.

The fact that Tzuyu is not even Korean but still fits Korean beauty Standards.

I think a lot of idols fit the western beauty standard because it’s more broad and inclusive. You don’t always have to look a specific way. As long as you’re visually aesthetically pleasing, then people find you good looking. It’s a bit more general in the sense that as long as your body and face have a certain balance, then you’re considered attractive.

I agree. A lot of people forget that the western countries aren’t just made up of one culture and one race anymore. It is conglomeration of races and cultures, so there isn’t just “one set of beauty standards” anymore. But it is telling to me about how people perceive, who is a westerner. We’re forgetting countries like Jamaica, Barbados, Trinidad & Tobago, Mexico, Brazil and continents like Africa.

@lmao xd not really. It's really between lisa and Jennie. Jennie fits the instagram and tiktok ideal for asians which is why she is the most popular in America especially. Jisoo has what a lot of americans would call a weak neck or a turkey neck and she has very small lips etc. I personally think she is beautiful, but the american media especially already shows what they like and unfortunately jisoo would fit

@lmao xd nah ur weird, jisoo doesn't even fit 1% of western beauty standard. the one who fits is lisa and i'll give jennie a honorable mention. if we're gonna talk about a member having both western and korean standard then it's gonna be jennie not jisoo 💀

Jisoo ofcourse fits kstandars the best Now comes western beauty standards ........ guys Lisa is the only one who i feel fits western beauty standards the best and as the video says honorable mention will definitely be Rosé because at first i thought Rosé was a foreigner but who ever is saying that Jennie fits western beauty standards idk what to say because Jennie doesn't fit western beauty standards at all and the main reason for that is her cat eyes and cute baby face But at last we all know that all the 4 girls looks amazing
